Getting to Know Challenge-A-Holics

Thanks to Cindy for the inspiration on this one.




For this challenge we are going to ask a question each month designed to get know our fellow Challenge-A-Holics.

Each month a theme question will be posted and books read that relate to the answer. For example, a theme could be: Location Location Location. You would respond with your location then spell it out or read books set in your location. You can get as specific as you want U.S.A., or Colorado, down to specific cities. Any number of books is fine, but at least 2.

We will use the same thread every month to keep an ongoing get to know you conversation going, so please repost you progress so we can all see. I will post links to the new monthly question so if you missed a month you can join in at any point with the current month. (feel free to share infor from past months).

I have a daughter with the opposite problem. I named her Margaret but the minute she was born, we looked at her and said "Maggie". I forgot to tell her that her name was Margaret which caused tears at her first day of kindergarten when she couldn't find her name. OOPS!! Now she complains that she has more nicknames than anyone in the world. Our favorite is "large Aunt Marge". (She is skinny, no worries!). We are always coming up with more.

Every update should be a new post. That way we can read along with everyones progress, instead of having to back track through the old posts.

That was my second requirement was unique and original but still all American sounding and easy to say. It took 8 3/4 months to come up with my daughters, and my son was 24 hours old before he had a name we could agree on.

Hi my name is Sallie. Im named after my Grandmother who was named after her Grandmother & the list goes on & on...I also had nicknames some I love (Shuga) & some I hate...really dont like Sal but anything else is pretty much ok...what made it worse was that I was born in Las Vegas Nevada (hospital & not falling out of the slot machine when my parents hit 3 lemons) lol
