Evan or Jonathon?

Personally I dislike Jonathon in so many ways. He seems like a sleezy over confident fool to me. He may care for Emma but if he truly did he would let her decide whom she really cares for. He wouldnt pressure her into leaving Evan. I love Evan in so many ways I can't even descrive. Evan and Emma are meant to be together.

I need the 3rd book NOW!
I need it like I need chocolate!

Oh, and I choose evan.

I am glad that I am not the only one routing for Jonathan. I felt how much he cared for her and dropped everything to be with her and help her. Ifeelterrible for him.

F 25x33
BB I'm also one of the few routing for Jonathan. Emma grew up feeling unwanted and Evan made her feel loved and that's the only thing. And she didn't lov ...more

EVAN completely!!

I would say Evan as well. I love him for Emma. Jonathan needs to find himself before trying to get with some1. Yes him and Emma went through almost the same things but they won't balance each other out. Evan balances out wit Emma. Can't wait for the next book. I wanna know what went through her mind when she left Evan.

i know its yuck but i had a really big soft spot for johnathon, i dont know why but i wanted them to be together.

EVAN.Johnathan was just ridiculous .....

Does this mean Johnathan is going to be in the third book? I was hoping I'd seen the last of him. The part where Emma saw him having sex with her mom...gross! Jonathan is way too violent to be boyfriend material.

Michelle W I agree! Especially with what happened at the end of book 2.

EVAN!!! I can't wait for the next book.

Evan is her soulmate

DAMN IT! EVAN ALL THE WAAAAY!

Evan all the way. Jonathon is a douchebag all the way.

Is this even a competition. There is no way that Jonathan can compete with Evan. He and Emma are made to be together. Let's just hope Emma figures that out

Evan!! I always had a bad feeling about Jonathan, he seems a tad unstable. Sometime I just wanted to slap Emma and get her to talk to Evan, he's so good to her, what is she thinking going around with Jonathan, even if it was innocent on her part he so obviously wanted more and she kept going back! Poor Evan :(

Evan all the way! I liked jonathan in the beginning, but with his dark, angry temper, I couldn't help but wonder if he might break one day too, with Emma having another unstable, violent person in her life.

I agree 100%

Jonathan has had a motive from the get go. How can anyone have feelings for a guy that screwed their mother. And the crazy thang saw it with her on eyes. I want to slap her.

I'm not the biggest fan of Jonathon's character in general, but the addition in the plot was very clever and it worked. Nonetheless, Evan and Emma belong to each other. That's that.

Jonathon can provide things that Evan can't because he's been through events just as traumatic as Emma. I don't think he's sleazy at all or icky. He helped Emma in ways that no one could and although he went too far to want to be with her, he was there for her and gave empathy. Sometimes, I even thought that Evan was leaving the picture.

But that all vanishes when Evan is mentioned. He's so ideal and protective, but understanding as well. I respect that he gives Emma the space that she needs sometimes and comes back to stand by her side with unwavering loyalty. If I had to describe him, I would say brave. Not generous or sympathetic. He was able to muster enough courage to see Emma through her hardships, he had to deal with the ugly, witness the trauma, turn his back against his father, and he gave up so much. If Emma did go with Jonathan, that would be such a mistake.

I really wish she went with Jonathon they connected on a whole another plane and she wasn't so pitiful with him he empowered her and she was allowed to be completely open in a way she wasn't with evan. yes I know sleeping with her worthless mother (gross) but you cant deny the connection and protection and making her see herself in a way she might not wanted to but needed to. but alas evan wins out.

definitely evan!

Emma connected with Jonathan only because they both had been in similar situations . that was the only bond they shared . but with evan the bond was there despite him not having gone through it . so....evan all the way

Evan

EVAN!!!!

Just finished this series tonight - Evan all the way - he is likeable, loveable, loves without question!

Evan without a doubt!!!!!!!!!!!
I looooooooooove him so much!!!!!!!

Neither! They both had problems. Jonathon has some obvious anger issues, and Evan has some dependency issues.

Evan is a great guy. Only he could make Emma full. Jonathan comforted Emma a lot and both of them had similarities... so, it forced them to hang out a lot. But, Jonathan and Emma... they don't get an image of couples. They get an image of understanding, I could say siblings... But Evan, he really understood Emma more than anyone could. Jonathan forced Emma to leave Evan as she shared more with Jonathan than to Evan. But, sometimes, a relationship holds more than what we tell each other... So, EVAN is my choice for Emma.

Don't even have to think about it, Evan of course. There isn't much of a competition anyways. I think Jonathan and Emma have a connection because of the pain they share. In my opinion, relationships should not be based on anything but positivity, and Evan is extremely positive. His is one of my favorite fictional characters because he truly is a kind person.

Evan. Jonathan was creepy, trying to force her into thinking that he was better because he had been in that situation.

I understand why people would go for Evan: it makes sense afterall. He's her first, he saw her when she was invisible and the way they met was awesome. But I also get her and Jonathan's connection. It doesn't make sense but she's drawn to him. He's mysterious, he's there, and he cares. Let's face it...Jonathan's the one she calls at 3 am when she can't sleep...Evan helps her forget the pain.

Emma trust Jonathan. She still doesn't trust Evan. She doesn't feel like she deserves him or measures up to him. Emma practically let a little girl get wayyyyy too comfortable with Evan. She has low self esteem. She's afraid if she shows Evan the real her he'll deem it too much.

Jonathan understands, makes her face her fears, and gives her his all. The whole mom thing is weird, but let's face it everyone sees that Jonathan and Emma have a connection stemming from the first time they met.

She should choose Evan (for a cliche ending)
She should choose Jonathan (for a realistic, explosive ending)

Okay, so I think I must be crazy. I totally loved Evann the first book, but went for Jonathan in e 2nd. I know it is kind of gross, but I liked their connection.. I think i started going for their bond since Evan was so distant and hardly around. Unjust didn't feel their connection anymore.. I was irritated with the way Jonathan was treating Evan. I need something to happen for me to fall for Evan again.

I CANNOT SSSTTTTTTTTTAAAAAAAANNNNNNDDD Jonathan I hate him so much because he tried to break Evan and Emma up...Plus he's her mom's ex-boyfriend which is just weird...

Evan

i really want her to be with Johnathan evan is such an obvious chose and just because he was the one that bought her out of shell doesnt mean she should be with him.But like all books its predicable that she is going to end up with Evan (i still love hum though)

I really was surprised when Jonathan came into the picture. I don't think anyone can deny the connection that just consumes you when she's with Jonathan. That being said, I like both men as characters, but I hope she chooses Evan. Not because he was the one who helped her first, but because they both are just so good for each other in general.

If she chose Jonathan There would just be so much tragedy in the relationship and I think they would eventually fall into this massive pit of depression.

Even though Jonothan and Emma have more in common i still think she should pick Evan bacause they fit together in so many ways i just cant picture them not being together. and i don't think she's gonna pick Jonothan because he beat the crap out of Evan in the end and Emma was really pissed about that.

I think she may pick Jonathan first because she feels she is not worthy of Evan and that she should be with someone who is as messed up as she is. But I think/hope in the end she will be with Evan.

Evan most definitely. I do not like Jonathan at all and I find it a little creepy that he knew where Emma used to live with George and Carol and I also find it weird that he knew where Evan lived. Just a little too creepy for me. Emma and Evan are like electricty when you read about them and they just connect. :)

Like you have to ask? Evan hands down....he is likely the best human being on this earth, need I say more? After everything he has done and been there for her and she walks away???? Without a talk or something. Omg, what the he'll happened?????? I'm still pissed off and it's been over a week that I read it.

First of all yuck Jonathon was with her mom. Thats just gross!! Second of all Evan loves her so much and I truly think she is crazy about Evan and that who she blongs with.

What kind of question is that???

Evan of course. Sheehs . . .

Team Evan all the way

Evan hands down. He was there for Emma from the begging and never left, why would she want to leave him. I despise love triangles, but I hate this one especially because she has not one good reason to leave Evan. Plus being with your mom's ex? Eww.

ok , so yeah i loved evan in the first book, but emma had more of a connection with Jonathan here, THOUGH i do think Evan gives her hope, his love makes her want to live, its sweet, painful, sacrificial, and growing, the way love i think should be.
Everybody loves a tortured bad boy , and i did feel his pain, he could have been the one , (had it not been for evan), but i don't think its right emotion between them, sure they care, but they are only connecting because of their shared misery and pain, and in the long run i fear they might just fuse each other out,
i understand sharing pain and getting past it-together, thats what i can see evan doing, J is bitter and there may be a girl to redeem him, but its not emma.
Besides the obvious fact that in reality, no number of reasons can measure who you fall in love with, or who it will last with.
I THINK its gonna be interesting..
Like them both, but strangely Evan a little -lot more.

Evan of course! Butttt.. I didn’t dislike Jonathan as much as some... (please don’t hate me). I actually looked forward to their interactions in the book. I still love Evan and think he’s an absolute sweetheart for loving Emma the way he does. However, I still found myself rooting for Jonathan a tiny bit... even though it is completely gross he’s been with the mother. Evan is still the one for her though! :)

EVAN. Jonathon was with her mother and helped her with her mom. Sure maybe something may have happened BUT HE WAS WIHT HER MOM. Even if he is not old-old he's still....older...
besides Evan is just amazing and cares so much about her despite her past and how she acts with him he is just amazing so evan no question about it.

Evan! I see the point of the author having thrown Jonathan in the story, but she should not be with him. I think that it is great that they share a common bond of tragic pasts. It gives her someone to confide in. I am fine with her being friends with him - just not friends with benefits! That is gross! He was with her mom for Pete's sake! That is just far too many germs being spread around! Yuck!

Evan Mathews for sure!! that goes without thinking!! If only this kind of guy exist in real life :)
Poor Evan, I hope they will be together or something great happen to Evan at least in the end of the sequel. Can't wait for Out of Breath!!

Of course Emma should pick Evan, they are so perfect for each other and the fact that Jonathan is obviously fucked up, it will not be healthy for Emma. And Evan was so caring and thoughtful and obviously very much in love with Emma and she to him.

Definitely Evan for me, Johnathon grew on me BUT Evan had done so much for her and was so sweet to her. Definite no no for her being with Johnathon after he was dating her mum. Ergh!!

I think Evan is to good for Emma and she should let me move on. I liked Jonathan for her, wishing he was not her mothers ex, but he is.. To really feel understood and worthy of someone like Evan, I don't think you can have Emmas guilt and shame. She'll resent herself for being with him. And I like Emma, but would be a miserable feeling to be with someone who deserves better than you and you know it.
