Ira: Lol wow... Yeah sure I accept.

Under the Sun: So how do you feel about winning?

Ira: It's kinda mind blowing to be honest. I never did expect to win. I didn't know people would be that interested...I'm not an interesting person..

So your poetry, is that all you write?

Ira: Lol I'm scary?


No, I've written a few shirt stories and I'm working on a book. Hopefully one day I'll be able to publish it and let people read them.

No, but I've posted them on my writing page and on my writing threads. * shrugs * it honestly doesn't matter.

Oh boy... Some I've written when I was pretty young so.. Lol

I don't tell this to many people cuz they'd think I was boasting... But around 300.

Ira: Yup.

So do all your poems have a story? Like umm… do they all come to you from experience or random bits of inspiration?

Ira: Most are stories. And the others are just bits of inspirations that I come up with. But majority of my poetry are stories that only I really understand. I let my readers interpret what they want and let them assume what they think. I never tell anyone anything abt the real story behind anything. It's why I come off as Myesterious and I like it.

Under the Sun: Oh… cool. I for one love your poetry so I don’t care how you do it as long as you keep writing.

Does your family like your poetry?

Ira: Yeah that I was.


I think I'll pass this question. It's way to personal.

I don't want people to think bad now that my parents must not like it... It's just personal and I rather not discuss it.

So who is your favorite poet?

Ira: Don't have one. I never really liked poetry till I started to write myself and even then I never rea other famoys people poetry. I just kept to my own. They're a few people on gr and close friends whose poetry I read but that's it.

Alright so before I turn the group loose on you is there anything you else you would like to say? A Quote? A little piece of advice? Parting words of wisdom? Something you’ve learned in life you wish to share? Any questions of your own? Anything?

Ira: I've a quote I'd like to share, I wrote it myself.

“Love shatters all hearts.Hate creates war. Poetry lives in everyone; they just have to realize it.”

Many people might have something against but in many ways it's true. Advice? Nah, everyone's good the way the are. We should first apply any advice we give in our own lives before telling others.

All I do have to say is thank y'all for voting for me and thank you Richard for interviewing me. It was quite interesting... And now I'm scared. Lol

Now, a serious question. Often, poets get ideas for poems that don't form into poems right away. How do you record and organize them?

I think effort comes in many different forms. Effort for you can be something entirely different than what effort is to me or to any other person. It's not something you can see or judge.

Think of it this way. I can see the emotion you have and I can relate to it, but I just feel like your poetry has so much more potential to actually MOVE me, y'know? And it's just sad to see someone be like, "I'm not gonna even consider doing a better job because what I'm doing is good enough."

Have you ever been on a pilgrimage to a holy place or sacred site? What was it like? & if not, are you planning to go in the future? How important is it for you to go?

What was the first thing you ever wrote?

As kids we have wild dreams of what we want to do when we grow up. For example I wanted to be a belly dancer and then a stripper. In my defense I had no idea what strippers were. I just wanted to dance on a shiny pole. So did u have any outrageous dreams?

Oh, goodness, Ira sweetie, please don't start that 'no one will ever understand me' stuff. I really am not fond of that. Of course no one will completely understand anything anyone wrote. That's the way of life.
