It's a bit tedious, but I guess that if it keeps us safe, it's worth it.

Annie (litisfire) :) For American security, I think it's really good. I can't say anything about other security, because I haven't ever traveled out of the US. It's already really difficult to smuggle something, so I think we have enough protection, but sometimes we have security officers gone bad, and they try to smuggle things to make money. So I think that we need to hire more reliable people for security, and that's about it!

From personal experience, it's a pain in the but. But I'd rather be safe than have someone attack me on a plane, or decide to blow it up. So ehh

How much security people have to go through since 9/11 is stupid. I know it is necessary, but really you can't go into the White House anymore without everyone going into it have a background check and if something pops up suddenly, you can't go. It's really stupid. The White House is considered the People's House and we just let the president live there and other work there, so why such we be shun from it?

My uncle when he was kid and his siblings, mom, and aunt waited in a line for about 2 hours to get 6 tickets to visit the White House. They didn't no checks about backgrounds or anything. They just passes out tickets to the first so many people. But now since 9/11 you can't do that.

Agreed. It seems ridiculous sometimes. At least, to the people whose intentions are harmless.

Evan (sampsom) | 578 comments I have only ever flown once (soon to be twice) and I left from a small city Airport in the U.K to Barcelona. I didn't find the security checks to be a annoyance. I'm a diabetic and I went through the place without being stopped once for having about 50 needles in my backpack.
