I am reading No Time for Goodbye by Linwood Barclay
My hubby actually finished a book last year (ok, he really read 3 books) and wanted me to read this one after him. It's pretty good!
I'm reading The Quilters Son by Samantha Jillian Bayarr (can't figure out how to add on the book cover)
I'm reading through the "Texas Twins" series from Love Inspired. I've read Her Surprise Sister by Marta Perry, Mirror Image Bride by Barbara McMahon, Look-Alike Lawman by Glynna Kaye, and I still have Carbon Copy Cowboy by Arlene James, The Soldier's Newfound Family by Kathryn Springer, and Reunited for the Holidays by Jillian Hart left to read.
I just started the Texas Trails series by Darlene Franklin, Susan Page Davis, and Vickie McDonough. Book one is Lone Star Trail by Franklin.
I am about to read reunited for the holidays!

I'm not sure as I didn't read the first books. They would give you a little background into a couple of characters, but I didn't have any trouble figuring things out as I went along.
By the way, I finished this book last evening and LOVED it.

Currently reading a debut release from Sarah Ladd titled "The Heiress of Winterwood". It's a period piece set around the same time as "Pride and Prejudice".
