tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) Katherine muttered mockingly. "Whatever Raylin."
She twirled her sword in her hands, humming until she saw the graves and stopped. She froze reading the names, the cause of death. The Final Test. Anger surged in her again. This is what she meant! It was a death game, not competition. She sheath her sword.

message 3: by tara (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) Katherine's sword was at his throat in an instant, her face hidden by shadows. She heard his plea clearly then and lowered her sword in irritation. "I'm not a killer," she snapped.

message 4: by tara (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) ((It hasn't started yet.))

message 5: by tara (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) ((Aren't they the co-leaders? They have to come up with the idea first don't they?))

message 6: by [deleted user] (new)

Nick appeared behind Katherine, his hand gripping to an axe which was pointed at Jacob. He looked over at Katherine with a weak smile. She didn't know him, but he knew her. He'd watched her in the forest. He knew about her hideout. He followed her here. Something about her just made him feel...attracted to her.
"She might not be, but I have no problem with it."
He looked again at Katherine, hoping she wouldn't be scared off by the sudden appearance of an apparent stalker she didn't know.

message 7: by tara (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) Katherine's eyes narrowed sharply. "Who are you?" she said, her voice and face impassive. Her sword was still at hand.

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

Nick looked back, his scowl replaced with a wide grin. He nodded his head in a small bow.
"Nick Holt. I've seen you around."
He lowered his axe slightly. This guy was obviously not a threat to Katherine.

message 9: by tara (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) Katherine narrowed her eyes at him, "I recently came to town though." Had he seen her embarrass herself in front of Raylin?

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

Nick turned to Jacob, narrowing his eyes and he slotted his axe into his belt.
"Well, you just seemed to...catch my eye."
He looked back to her again, this time not smiling. He was trying not to give away how he felt, though it was hard. He wasn't really a people person.

message 11: by tara (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) Katherine eyed him, something telling her that he was someone to look out for. He looked younger then her by a few years. Her heart seemed to go cold as she realized that she may have to fight him in a year.

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

Nick looked around the graveyard before eyeing them both again.
"Is there any reason you're in a graveyard?"
He noticed Katherine looking at him. Something told him it wasn't the same way he looked at her. Something more along the lines of he is a threat.

message 13: by tara (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) Katherine kept her lips sealed, not completely trusting either of them to explain why she was here.

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

Nick looked at her, his expression softening. His eyes met hers, completely ignoring the other boy.
"Please Katherine. You can trust me."
He knew she wouldn't trust him, but it was worth a shot. They'd only just met after all.

message 15: by tara (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) Katherine quietly replied, "Trust is something earned."
Don't make connections. If I make connections, I'll just feel guilty of killing them and I cannot afford that.

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

Nick nodded, biting his lip. He never expected her to. He exhaled deeply, looking away form her.
"Usually. Sometimes you can trust people just by looking at them."
His voice was lowered to a whisper, hoping that she would pick up that he wasn't talking about trust specifically. He turned to leave, having felt like he'd embarrassed himself.
"I'll see you around. Hopefully."

message 17: by tara (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) Katherine stared after the boy, confused as ever. Then she looked back at Jacob. Her eyes narrowed again.

message 18: by tara (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) "I'm not heartless," Katherine retorted. "It took everything I knew from me, don't tell me about not having enough hate for it." There was an undercurrent of pure hate, one that showed Katherine had constantly thought of ways to put down the Final Test for good.

((Do you like the idea about Crown. I thought it would be interesting.)

message 19: by tara (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) Katherine's eyes flashed dangerously. "Regrettable choice of words." She tilted her head, looking at him.

message 20: by tara (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) Katherine smacked his elbow, even being new to this town for one day and a half, she knew better but to raise her voice. "Keep it down!" she hissed. "Do you have any idea how to even do that?"

message 21: by tara (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) Katherine's eyes narrowed. "Define "this trouble." Who are you anyway?" she snapped.

message 22: by tara (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) Kat, still with weary eyes watching him, replied, "Well Jacob, my name's Katherine." She offered no more information.

message 23: by tara (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) Katherine was silent for a long moment, assessing him. Finally, she spoke in the equal tone he had used at the same volume. "What do you have in mind supposedly." Excitement seemed to spark within her.

message 24: by tara (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) Katherine's eyes seemed to light up, to agree it was exactly what they needed. Wasn't it? "Now that, I think we can arrange." She smiled faintly. She had Jace, Jane, the boy Nick, and Sin as some time of ally. The girl she met at the fire too. She already had acquaintances she can see easily fitting in like a puzzle.
"We have to be wise though, we can't let anyone know right now, not even the others. We got to set up everything first." The Black Market can help with storing on supplies.... her brain was whirling with ideas. She was meant to survive.

message 25: by tara (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) "First we'll need codes and places to meet." She gave him a matter of fact look. "We can't just talk about rebellion," she had hushed to a whisper, "by the campfire now can we?"

message 29: by tara (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) Katherine sat beside him on a vacant grave stone. She raised her eyebrows at him, genuinely curious. "How long have you been here?"

message 30: by tara (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) "I meant in the town," she clarified, tilting her head slightly but not getting up. She needed to know who she was working with. Katherine wasn't stupid.

message 31: by tara (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) Katherine raised her eyebrows and smiled, "Well then." She showed a first true smile.

message 32: by tara (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) Katherine shrugged as she leaned against a blank grave, trying to hide the disgust that filtered through her eyes at the sight of it. She turned her head away, so it wouldn't be in her view at all.

message 33: by tara (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) "You had me at the part in to destroy the final test." She let out a smile. Katherine was hooked.

message 34: by tara (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) "I'm sure I figure where that is," Katherine smiled, now with a purpose in her eye. Adding a gleam to once burdened soulless eyes. "See you around then?" She smiled.

message 35: by tara (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) Katherine nodded and disappeared into the shadows where she had come from in the beginning. First, she would have to snatch a map somewhere. Perhaps Jane had one.

message 36: by Jasmine (last edited May 18, 2013 02:34AM) (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) Moving as silently as a shadow, Sayo approached the grave stone. In carved in it was the name “Kan”. Crouching down, she set a white rose on the mound of earth. She stared at the name, still disbelieving that her trainer was dead. Brushing a strand of her black hair she rose to her feet once more.
“Rest my friend,” she whispered. “It’s what you deserve.”

message 37: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) Sayo turned to leave, and as she did she said allowed, “I can see you.” Without waiting for him to reply, she left the graveyard.

message 38: by tara (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) "Jacob!" Katherine's panicked voice rang through the air as she approached with Jacksin, her hair clinging to her damp neck, for it looked like she just came from a lake or such.

message 42: by tara (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) ((I know right! I'll be able to finish a character in Novum and then perhaps start one in your group along with another one in someone else's.))

message 43: by tara (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) "Well," Katherine was now tongue tied in front of Jacob. "Raylin knows." She didn't elaborate.

☁ ℳisty ℳoonlit ℳemories ☾ (dreamsnitemarecrisis) | 511 comments ((Raylin's a dude, thank you very much.))

Jacksin shook his head. "She didn't say anything about it. He figured it out all on his own."

message 45: by tara (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) "He.... He wanted to join," Katherine couldn't help the small hints of disbelief and hope in her voice. He was one of the best around here, everyone knew that.

message 46: by tara (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) Katherine bit her lip, "I know this sounds weird but I don't want to be away from him too long. As reckless as I am he can be even more so, I'm thinking if we test him someway..." She drifted off

message 47: by tara (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) Jakob really shouldn't have said those words. Katherine's heart began to pound hard. What could it be? They had just started recruiting, two weeks here in this town and she was going to loose it? "What?" Her words came out as a soft whisper.

((We need to plan that dance soon lol))

message 48: by tara (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) "Which one?" Katherine asked, her words rushing out before she could stop them. An elder? On their side? How even?

((The contestants that will compete in a few years gets driven to Crown to participate in a huge dance, like a ball if you will))

message 49: by tara (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) Katherine narrowed her eyes in thought but not skeptically, "When can we arrange a meeting?" Katherine hoped deep down that Raylin was truly on their side. If not, she would push those feelings aside and be the one to stick an arrow through his chest.

message 50: by tara (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) Katherine nodded, "I'll keep watch on Raylin, keep him contained. Meanwhile, I will leave a note at Lake Idris when I can. See you Jacob." With that she left Sin and him without a sign.
