Zee This is February's BoTM:

Edge of Disaster by A.M. Hargrove

Synopsis:

Alexia Hammond, broken and destroyed by a tragedy she can’t seem to recover from, is on a downward spiral toward destruction. A life of partying, alcohol, drugs and men has brought her near the edge of disaster. That is until one night while at work as a waitress in an upscale restaurant, she falls under the spell of one of her customers, Pearce Middleton. Once she gazes into his smoky gray eyes, her life takes on new meaning. But can she put her past behind her and allow herself to fall for the exciting and gorgeous Pearce, or will her lewd behavior come back to haunt her and ruin her chances of happiness forever?

Alana ~ The Book Pimp (loonyalana) | 38 comments The eBook is already out for Edge of Disaster by A.M. Hargrove and we shouldn't have to wait too long for book two- I'm SUPER excited!

Alana ~ The Book Pimp (loonyalana) | 38 comments Did you see the cover for book #2?

Shattered Edge (An Edge Novel) by A.M. Hargrove

message 11: by Zee (new)

Zee Yes I did a cover reveal; )
Isn't it so fucking sexy?

Alana ~ The Book Pimp (loonyalana) | 38 comments Yup, and it works well with the book, too. Just a few days away!

omg! The covers are really amazing!

message 14: by Zee (new)

Zee Did you see the new cover for Shattered Edge by A.M. Hargrove

Alana ~ The Book Pimp (loonyalana) | 38 comments Indeed I did

message 16: by Zee (new)

Zee Which one do think is better? The first or the second?

Alana ~ The Book Pimp (loonyalana) | 38 comments I like #2, but I miss Justin from the cover

message 18: by Zee (new)

Zee Number two is more exotic though num 1 is more erotic. They're both good but the second is better.

Alana ~ The Book Pimp (loonyalana) | 38 comments I think #2 separates it from 'the pack'

(The pack being the billion other contemporary romances out there...)

message 20: by Zee (new)

Zee Exactly; )
You're SO lucky to be a character in the book;)

Alana ~ The Book Pimp (loonyalana) | 38 comments It's good to be friends with the author ;)

message 22: by Zee (new)

Zee I cannot agree more.
How does it feel to have a character named after you?

Alana ~ The Book Pimp (loonyalana) | 38 comments Well, I already had a character named for my youngest son in Dark Light of Mine (Overworld Chronicles, #2) by John Corwin

but since writers are my rock stars it's almost like having a song written for me or something. Oh, and there may be other books on the horizon where either Alana, or Rock, may be seen as character names, too. I'm usually a firm non-*squee*-er... but couldn't help it in this case

message 24: by Zee (new)

Zee That's so cool.
Uh-huh!
Writers are our rock stars.
The only thing better than having a character named after you is having a book dedicated to you.
That would be like OMG!

Alana ~ The Book Pimp (loonyalana) | 38 comments Well I've appeared in the dedication/acknowledgements of several books now.

Sweet Blood of Mine (Overworld Chronicles, #1) by John Corwin Dark Light of Mine (Overworld Chronicles, #2) by John Corwin Fallen Angel of Mine (Overworld Chronicles, #3) by John Corwin No Mercy (Cambion, #2.5) by Shannon Dermott Shattered Edge by A.M. Hargrove Dark Waltz (Praestani, #1) by A.M. Hargrove

...seems like I'm forgetting one or two

Alana ~ The Book Pimp (loonyalana) | 38 comments And there have been one or two 'inside' jokes and personal stories written into some of the books, too.

Alana ~ The Book Pimp (loonyalana) | 38 comments And I even got to help write the blurb for a few books, too. That's always a challenge.

message 28: by Zee (new)

Zee HELL, you're making me jealous.

I wanna read Sweet Blood of Mine. Is it good, excellent or just okay?

Alana ~ The Book Pimp (loonyalana) | 38 comments Well you ARE asking John Corwin's #1 Book Pimp, and it's FREE on Smashwords too (hint, hint)

But I love the series... adore it like fat kids love cake. It's told from the male POV, which is a little different

Alana ~ The Book Pimp (loonyalana) | 38 comments If you are a fan of Princess Bride, and don't mind YA, it should be right up your alley

message 31: by Zee (new)

Zee I haven't read PB
I love reading from a male's PoV because female PoV are the usual cliché and I'm sick of it.
I'll add it to my tbr list soon.
