So let's say Edward never left. Let's say he didn't leave because he wanted to protect Bella from what Jasper might have done. What would have happened? I think Bella wouldn't have found out about Jacob the wolf. It's sad to think they might not have been friends. But I wish he hadn't left. She got so depressed. No shrinks please.

I wish he hadn't left because we a get a whole boring 400 pages without Edward.
I think he would have vampirized her sooner, and then married her. I don't think their bond would be as strong, because they hadn't saved each other's lives.

That is the depressing part. All relationships have ups and downs. This was the major down for both of them.

Yes, major downs. At least with vampire relationships you can live forever and work things out.

I have nothing to say but that I LOVE EDWARD!

It was so sad when he left her, I think i cried :p and it was kind a hard to read the rest of the book. but then it was really fantastic when they got together again, and wouldn miss that part. so there are some good things about it ;)

I had to stop once I got there... I was so sad.... then I read the rest of the book as fast as I could just to see if he did come back.... now anytime I read it I still read it fast.... but I know that it ends well so....

New Moon was the most depressing book. Well, reading about Bella's depression was. But I dutifully read the rest with an alert mind.

New Moon was a sad novel, and I certainly did cry when reading it (Hey, who wouldn't?). I have always loved Edward, but when he left Bella in the forest, and I realized he wasn't coming back - I cried. I couldn't believe he was capable of doing it. At least in the end we found out he did it with good intentions (even though, I never doubted him to do something otherwise.)

It was depressing, but I actually think there wouldn't be much of a story if Edward hadn't left. It made us really aware of this problem that Edward has with turning Bella into a vampire. I'm sure if there was no New Moon, Bella and Edward would have gotten together sooner, and Edward would have turned Bella into a vampire sooner. Then, many people would accuse Edward of being selfish and taking an innocent human girl to turn her into a vampire for his own needs. That was explained badly, but I hope you understand my point.

The entire time I was reading New Moon, I was waiting for Edward. I was so infuriated with Jacob, and how Bella was slowly feeling better without Edward. Then, when Alice came back, I was super happy! At least one Cullen had returned!

I totally agree! I was so mad with Bella for hugging him and all that. She should have spent time with Angela. But hurray for Alice!

Exactly, Angela could have given Bella company, if that's all she wanted. Haha, I love Alice Cullen, she's one of my all-time favorite female characters!

Chapter 20 was the best in the world! I love Alice to death and back again... my family all think i'm like her.... short and annoying :) She should have spent time with Angela but what if she was with Ben in New Moon???

Yeah, and I do like how Edward's and Bella's bond is even stronger...Sigh...Crap. Anyone know CPR? Kidding.

Hahaha. :) Yes, without New Moon a lot of things wouldn't have turned out the way it did. I love this group - I can express my love for Twilight w/o any criticism! Oh to be free, and let my thoughts be consumed by Edward Cullen. Kidding!!! Uh, maybe. ;)

Hey, I think about Twilight (mostly Edward) every day. I have Twilight references. Like when I was reading about WWI for Social Studies class, there was a part on the Spanish influenza. Poor Edward! How's that for obsessed.

Twilight references...examples? The Medici were the patrons of the arts in Florence and I almost said Volturi when asked about them in class. Which was quite sad. Okay, guys, what's your favorite Twilight daydream?

Haha I just like to put me in a situation where I might be bitten by a hot vampire.... I am even writing a story about good vampires... not identical to Twilight but inspired by it...

My favorite daydream actually includes Emmett.... as much as I love Edward... there is something about Brute force that just makes me go weak in the knees..... Part of the reason I hate Rosalie... she stole my man....

Forgot to mention that I applied (and accepted) to go to Washington State University because I wanted to go to Washington... but I that isn't what I tell everyone else........ how's that for obssessed.....

Amazing! Congrats! I am now starting to look at colleges. Never too early to start. And I love you too Lara. We've got each others "backs" on goodreads. My favorite daydream? Hmm...So many! Ok. I'm rolling down the sidewalk towards the Volvo Allison inherited from her grandpa. Out of no where a big Chevy comes spinning at me. But Edward is there and saves me! And we continue we me as Bella. Almost the exact same evenst happen as in the books. Even (unfortunately) New Moon's sad beginning. Although I wouldn't have gotten close to Jacob.

Yeah, I really should look at colleges. And now the obligatory, yes, I love you all too. :)
Current Twilight daydream: the Cullens/Hales come to my school. (Bella does not exist.) I have to do a project with Rosalie; we don't get along so well. Edward comes to remind Rosalie not to accidentally kill me. And of course he falls in love. (With me.)

Hahaha I love your daydream Clara... that is truly excellent.... while looking at colleges don' forget to also be looking for scholarships.... you get to be a senior and there just doesn't seem to be as many.... (maybe because I am just too lazy fill them out.... wish there was one for reading... I would have that in the bag...)

I'm going to look into scholarships as soon as I can. I will probably get one for my grades. I have all A's. I want to stay close to home though. If I can get a scholarship for Willamete that would be great. What's your current daydream?

Southern Oregon University. It's in Ashland, home to the amazing exonerated beloved Shakespeare festival. I am in love with Ashland. It's such a gorgeous city-ish town-ish thing. I'd better find out about the actual school though. No idea what I want to do when I grow up.

Emmett as a brother... please... I want him worse than I want Edward.... and I'm sure you can all imagine how bad I want him.... he was well done in the movie too so I can't complain.... I promise I won't stalk you based on your college preferences.....

Worse than Edward! How horrible! How is that even possible? It's OK though. I'll be Emmett's brother and then marry Edward. You can have Emmett. Actually that doesn't work out because Emmett is technically Edward's brother. Whatever. Oh, wait, it does work out because if I marry Edward Emmett is my brother! Perfect!

Lara, nice daydream. I personally like Emmett too, but I think Edward's more amazing. Congratulations on getting accepted at Washington, no matter what they reason was when you decided to apply there! ;)

Autumn, I was just reading your comments and then I saw "Willamette", and I started thinking, "Is she talking about Willamette in Oregon? Nah, she doesn't live here - but, how many other Willamettes do I know!" So, I checked your profile real quick and it said that you were from Salem OR. Haha, proud to meet a fellow Oregonian on Goodreads!

Also, your daydreams are similar to mine. I just pretty much find myself replacing Bella in most scenes, but I actually do the type of things I would, not what Bella would. And whenever I'm with Jacob, I treat him only like a friend. Haha :)

So you guys are thinking about different colleges? Wow, I've never imagined you guys to have an "age" and being in school looking for colleges. I just always thought of you guys as awesome ageless book lovers who have a wonderful taste in literature. Anways I am looking into colleges too; like Autumn stated, you're never to early to start. However, I am not really looking at colleges in Oregon. Washington, definitely. ;) Haha, I'd love to go to Dartmouth(Me?! At an Ivy League college! Like that'd ever happen...psh), and then I could run into Bella and Edward. Obsessed much?

If I don't get Edward or Emmett (and it seems like I probably won't), I'll go for Seth. He's young, strong, determined, loyal, and funny. I always imagine him being a cute guy. I'd so go for him.
