What movie do you think depicts the book that it is based on the most accurately?

Right now, the only one coming to mind is Hunger Games. I know they missed a few key points, but overall, I think they did an amazing job. And I loved Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss. I thought she did an amazing job.

The first and second Harry Potter movies were also super close to the books. A few things were left out but the main point was received.

Despite what had to be left out to not make the movies even longer, I think Peter Jackson did a good job keeping the important factors of The Lord of the Rings in line with the original books.

Lord of the rings and hungar games are the only ones that come to mind.
