This is the first book in my uniquely written Mortal Realm Witch series, Mortal Realm Witch: Learning About Magic.
This book is made up of 6 short stories that connect into each other, but can also be read as individual stories.

This is Book One in the Mortal Realm Witch series. Mortal Realm Witch: Learning About Magic contains six separate, but connecting, stories, each featuring a different aspect of Learning About Magic. In Learning About Magic you will meet DWW who is just learning she is a witch and that her dog can talk and he is going to teach her how to use magic but it won't be easy.

Throughout Book One, not only will you learn about DWW, who will tell you her origin story about becoming a witch and learning about her new powers and responsibilities and more, but you will get to read stories about DWW from the point of view of her familiar, Trillman, and the Head of the Witches Council, Trom.

In this book DWW will also become a magic teacher to two magical wolf pups, as well as try to stop a warlock from taking over the Realms. You will also meet Air Raid, a dragon, and his new friend and witch, Ally. Ally wants Air Raid to be her familiar, but Trom says dragons don't make good familiars. Together Ally and Air Raid will try to prove him wrong.

If you need a laugh (and I understand some of us are world-class laughers), you might enjoy my book, Reality Challenged. It's a humorous Sci-Fi book that is similar to books by Terry Pratchett or Douglas Adams. It's available on the usual eBook sites.

If you think people in our universe are weird, you should see what Psychann has to deal with. She's a typical teenage psionic with an ability to trade objects between universes. Okay, so she's not that typical. Anyway, she's being hunted by dangerous trans-universal creatures who threaten the very existence of the Multiverse. It's a good thing she's not alone. Along the way, she will encounter a four ton alien poet, mercenaries, wizards, a dragon, a dungeon exploring party, a girl with way too many heads, a pair of coffee drinkers, a rock band, and a man who is no longer a mammal. Some of the others are a bit odd. She's got a lot of friends to help if she can just keep them all in the same universe.

Great perfumes have always had one purpose: to seduce.

Aphrodesia is a mystery/suspense novel that takes place in this world.

Eric Foster, the top student at the world-famous perfume institute in France, creates an aphrodisiac of astonishing potency. But when a critical ingredient of his perfume goes missing from the institute’s collection, he is accused of the theft and expelled. Disgraced, he takes a mind-numbing job in New York testing scent additives for supermarket products. The only bright spot in his life comes from moonlighting — with his three-legged bloodhound Daisy — as a “forensic smell expert” for the NYPD.

When police call him to a crime scene where a woman has killed her lover in a fit of insatiable lust, he is shocked to recognize a familiar smell, his aphrodisiac. The cops tell him they found the same perfume at three similar homicides, and suddenly Eric becomes the prime suspect. Convinced the perfume is a counterfeit, he sets out on a desperate mission to prove his innocence and discover why the knockoff is killing people.

Smell is the most primal of our senses. How it affects us, emotionally and physically, and how experts use it to manipulate us are at the heart of this story.

Aphrodesia was a Quarter-Finalist in the 2012 Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award competition.


A WARNING: Because this story centers on a powerful aphrodisiac, it contains a number of fairly explicit sex scenes. Some may find these objectionable. However, Kirkus Reviews wrote: "Oehler is marvelously versed in the intricacies of perfume manufacturing and history; luckily for the reader, he’s also a compelling writer. In particular, the convincing sex scenes flow with the right balance of graphic language and tastefulness."

Hey,that's great Kayla.
I'm writing my first novel but in the future I would like to do an editing and proof reading course.
I've just bought a book on it and this book will be handy to have also.
As I believe self publishing is the way to go.
I'm getting a lot of help from authors with my first novel but hopefully if it's successful and I write another this book will really help me.
