Charlotte Weber It might be a bit of a stretch to consider Death and Cure as antonyms but I think it works enough to fulfill the category. I really just wanted to finish off this trilogy. Unfortunately, I found this book so boring in the beginning. There were so many tangents that Thomas kept following and I just wanted him to focus for a little bit. Also, for being a supposed genius, he sure made some really stupid decisions. Of course, they were plot devices but they seemed arbitrary in their outcome anyway so I didn't see the point. I don't mind open endings but I thought for sure that Thomas would want some more of an explanation at the end of everything. The Epilogue clears up a couple of questions for the reader but Thomas doesn't question being sent to a remote spot and just left to fend for themselves. He just sits and watches the ocean (which I'm sorry but that setting seemed an exact replica of the WICKED facility anyway). As the conclusion of a trilogy I felt this was a bit of a let down.
