Hi guys, so it's almost june and I am very excited to be entering into The martian. This book narrowly missed out being our April Sci-Fi pick and so I was very happy to put it in as the June selection.

I've heard a lot of very promising and wonderful things about this book, but all I really know is that it's about a man in Space. Hopefully it will be easy to get through and fun for us to discuss!

Let me know how excited you guys are to start below!

Ungar5 | 25 comments I probably will start the book next week, after I finish my current read.
As for the book itself, I'm going in completely blind (I like going blind into a story...). But I've come to trust the group's opinion. The last scifi we read, Leviathan Wakes, was one of my top reads this year, same for Tigana, and of course Locke Lamora... so hopefully this will be a very good book as well. Can't wait to start!!

I have the book on my Kindle and anticipate getting to it in a couple of weeks. I have several other books to read for other book clubs but I'm excited to read this one.

Of course :)

Bryce (kejumonyet) | 1 comments I read(*) this one recently so I'm not going to read-along per se, but do you mind if I lurk and drop a few comments? Keen to see other people's thoughts :D

(*) didn't so much read this as listen to it on audiobook in the car with my partner while on roadtrip. It really was the perfect story for that because of it's first person narration, and driving across the featureless plains of the Limestone Coast listening to it evoked a very extraterrestrial experience!
