Alana (alanasbooks) | 124 comments I think it's a great book for freshmen (or really, any age). It's all about how we treat those who are different from us, especially if they are weaker (if only in mind, not body) and how to treat others with respect.... if by negative example.

In the long run I sympathized with George's character, weighted down by moral obligation and the sorrows of his plight.

Jill Durocher | 1 comments I must have read this in high school. I remember watching the movie with Gary Sinuse and John Malkovich. The story is depressing. I bought the audio with Gary Sinuse narrating and I want to listen to it but I know it will wreck me. People can be so damn ugly to each other.
