Shaley | 3 comments I can't wait to order this book and start reading! Yay!

Helen (cooksbooks78) I am 1/2 way through. Does anyone else have the Twilight vibe about this story? It may just be me!!

I'm only a quarter of the way through and I have been getting those vibes a bit too!

I read the two short stories that come before this and unless it's something that's supposed to a family/mermaid trait the whole "pinching the bridge of my nose" is a phrase too often used lol

Silvia (biblionation) | 187 comments I started it last night and I can definitely see the Twilight vibe: the whole hot dangerous boy, the rude sister, the sister's snarky boyfriend. It's very Twilight. The book is pretty silly, but really fun. She overuses the phrade Ohmysweetgoodness! But so far I'm having fun.

Helen (cooksbooks78) I enjoyed it. It was a fun read and I will continue the series as light relief reading!!!

That's exactly why I like it, it's very relieving to read something as light as this book, especially since I'm on my finals.

Yes!! It was definitely a little too cliched for my tastes, but the ending was certainly interesting. I really want to learn more about their Syrena community, because I felt that the background was a little lacking. I hope the next two books aid with that!

Silvia (biblionation) | 187 comments As predictable as the ending was, I still want to see how it will affect the next books. I want to see more syrena politics. And I want to see the implications of Poseidon's and Triton's gift.

Alethela I thought that a book with such a high rating would be a little better than this. I wondered mostly about the Syrena world and their politics more than I cared about the somewhat off putting relationship between Galen and Emma..I don't think I will be reading on but since they were a quick read I might give it a second chance.

Oh and I read the two short story/novellas that were set before this and they were much more informative about the Syrena world and Galen's family members so I'd recommend reading those.

I wasn't planning on reading the l, but now I will! Thanks!

Danielle A (xoxodanielleeee) | 19 comments So far I really enjoy the history \ mythology part of the series. I want more of that. I wish I felt more with Galen and Emma and their "connection," hopefully it's developed more.
