Ashley Marie | 670 comments I just finished The Secret History: A Novel of Empress Theodora and I have to say Stephanie Thornton has leaped to the top of my must-read list. I love that she chooses to write about women I've never read about (or half the time, even heard of) before. I'm psyched to pick up Tiger Queens along with her other books!

Kate Quinn | 494 comments I've read them all, including the upcoming The Conqueror's Wife: A Novel of Alexander the Great about the lover, wife, sister, and captive of Alexander the Great. Stephanie T is superb.

Wesley Redfield | 42 comments I recommend A PERSIAN BOY about Alexander's love life too.

Angela (faerietela) | 11 comments I have recently discovered Stephanie Thornton and devoured every one of her novels, except the upcoming The Conqueror's Wife, Kate you lucky duck!!! I'm jealous! I guess I'll have to wait. I loved The Secret History but The Tiger Queens was so unique. She is an amazing author.

Kate Quinn | 494 comments I'm at the Historical Novel Society Conference in Denver, and I just had the chance to meet Stephanie Thornton in person after being strictly online friends. She is AWESOME, and so is "Conqueror's Wife." (I was lucky enough to get to read it because we swapped rough drafts as critique partners - she gave me a much needed critique on my last book, and I then got hers and did the same.)

I was fortunate enough to get an advanced autographed copy of Daughter of the Gods: A Novel of Ancient Egypt and after reading it, I was hooked.

Angela (faerietela) | 11 comments I LOVE Stephanie Thornton! I first read The Tiger Queens: The Women of Genghis Khan and loved it. It was such a unique book. It was gritty, violent, and harsh, but there was a deep beauty to it. I immediately tracked down and devoured her two other novels in the next few weeks. They were all amazing 4 stars and + .. and in my opinion.. she is one of the best authors of HF. I'm anxious for The Conqueror's Wife: A Novel of Alexander the Great to come out. 3 more days!!! I'm so jealous of the people lucky enough to get their hands on ARC's! My only complaint about Stephanie Thornton is that she doesn't have more books out. I wish she wrote faster!

Melissa Eisenmeier (carpelibrumbooks) | 364 comments I really want to try her other books besides Tiger Queens, but haven't had a chance yet. Daughter of the Gods sounds especially interesting.
