Only a Bronson film possibly has a higher body count. Or maybe 'Dirty Dozen' (may be the next tribute thread).
yeah the marketing department really did a 'twenty pizza friday' for the art department in that distrib co whenever that DVD was released
I'm kinda wondering where they pulled that Eastwood face from. Looks like they filched it maybe from old 'Escape From Alcatraz' promo and grafted it onto a uniformed figure with a machine gun.

Will Kelly's Heroes be the next thread? There is a book by Burt Hirschfield, but probably a book of the film.
:)
Only films with the highest possible body counts will feature in this showcase!
I like 'Kelly' a lot but the main action is that great scene when the Shermans destroy the railyard
p.s. Youtube has a clip of the airfield scene in 'Eagles' where the preparer of the vid keeps a tally. Pretty funny

Startling but true: somehow, some way I do not know --the entire movie is available on Archive.org, full-length, free to view; no ads.
Maybe someone slipped up in the legal department. But it is available for all to enjoy.
I've been revisiting some of the standout sequences.
Truly incredible, no doubt in my mind that it is the best WWII action thriller ever.
Under-the-surface, is a rather complex plot; but the genius of the screenplay reduces the whole thing to a supreme and elegant simplicity.
Also, here's the Youtube clip that steps through each of the slaughter scenes and tallies up the number of Nazis obliterated.

Eighty-eight Bosch blown to smithereens by two men and a girl.
