Kathleen I read this book a week ago and ever since I have been trying to gather my thoughts to write a short review, but I can't seem to get beyond a few sentences. Hayley's life is hard and the same goes for everyone in the book. There seems to be no let up on the pain everyone has. Then, magically, all is solved and they are off to college.

Michael Davies (michael_davies) | 9 comments Looking forward to reading this. Hopefully I can do so before the end of July.

Christina Davis (barefooteacher212) | 2 comments Kathleen, I agree... I was thinking the same thing, I was glad that the ending was positive but I really thought this would be a great chance for Anderson to have a realistic ending

Michael Davies (michael_davies) | 9 comments Begs the question, do we want exploration and escapism that doesn't leave us too depressed by the end, or do we want something more realistic that we can continue to grapple with?

I just added a new topic for people to submit a question (or questions) for the author, so would love to see what everyone here might want to ask--love the conversation!
