Q&A with Author David Arnold

Did he feel a bit uncomfortable writing about Beck and Mim's feelings for each other considering the age gap?
It has always been said that fiction is either not at all fiction or part non-fiction. Is there a story behind his story? Personal experience?
Any of these questions, I'd love to hear him answer.

I would also like to know how he got into the mindset of a teenage girl so effectively! Honestly I'm beyond impressed that the author of this amazing book is a man, because as I'm reading it I could swear I'm in the head of a teenage girl.
I'm not great with questions... but I really look forward to seeing the author's response to everyone else's questions haha.
I'm excited to see what David Arnold has to say as well. Everyone has posted such great questions! I'll be sending these off this week, so any last questions need to be posted by the end of today.

That's a really good point! I knew he had a young son, but didn't even think about that as being a tie to the book. When I was reading Mosquitoland, I really felt that Arnold must have used something in his personal life for this story. It just had that feel about it.
I talked to the author David Arnold right before we started this book club and asked him if he would be willing to do a special Q&A for our group. He graciously said yes, and asked that I send him your questions so he could reply back! We would like to send between 10-15 questions for him to answer. If you'll post your questions under this thread, I will make sure to have them collected and sent to him by the first part of July. If you have any questions, please let me know! I am so excited to see what you guys want to ask him. :)
