OK I had the scariest beginning to my day. I got up, got dressed and went out to warm up my car. When I went outside there was a bear, a big black bear, next to me car. Luckily we scared each other and the bear lumbered away. I cannot tell you how scared I was and how I am nervous to go outside early tomorrow to start my car.

Oh my goodness! Is that common for that area? The scariest thing to happen to me was waking up to a poopy kid. I hate that.

Yipes! Good Lord, I'm not sure what I would've done! Screamed or passed out are likely options! If you have garbage cans outside or even in the garage, make sure their lids are on tight! If you do happen to see him/her again, you may want to call animal control sp he/she can be relocated!

Well I wasn't sure whether or not I should call the police. I ran inside as fast as I could, and the bear ran the other way. There were tons of bear tracks, so people believed me.

I've had bears on my porch and in my yard a number of times. They have never been a real problem. Black bears are normally shy creatures. I love it when I get the chance to see them.

I know I would have screamed.

A group of us had a momma bear run down a hill across our hiking path years ago chasing her baby and we all froze. We didn't want to rile her up that's for sure so we remained calm and quiet and enjoyed the experience.

I would have totally freaked and screamed to have one surprise me that early in the morning at my car door though!!! That's insane Meg.... :)

Meg, my heart is pounding so fast right now just reading this!!!! I would've passed out on the spot!!

I think I would have fainted. I don't do well with wild animals. We have a squirrel that lives in our garage and every time it pops out I run away, screaming.

Maybe he was single, looking for a date.......

I would have completely freaked out. I got spooked by an oppossum one night that was hanging around by my car... I probably would have fainted if I saw a bear.

I am sure I would have freaked at the time but then I think it would be cool. I would have called in late for work and got my camera out. Go into work later and say ..."I was a little detained, thought I had a bear car pool this morning." :)

The most freaked out I have ever been upon first waking up was the one time I was late for work. I had a forty-minute commute, and always battled against dozing off once my alarm went. There was only this one incident where I startled awake and realized that I was going to be late!
