Elinor Gray (elinorgray) | 4 comments Hello all! Glad to find this group on Goodreads: I know I'm in the right company. I have a queer BDSM Holmes/Watson pastiche (previously published in part as a fanfic on Archive of our Own) coming out at the end of July that I would love to share with you, if anyone is interested. I'm seeking readers to receive an ARC and write a review before the release on July 29th. I'm including my slightly cheesy "pitch email" below to give you a better sense of what's going on here:

Sherlock Holmes: On His Knees

So, Sherlock Holmes and John Watson: just friends? Since the great detective and his fearless chronicler hit the pages of the Strand Magazine in the 1890's, readers have speculated about the nature of their relationship.

I have been trying to answer that question for years myself, at great length, in as much detail and as many positions as I can manage. My debut full-length novel, Compound a Felony, is a queer, erotic reimagining of the downtime between cases– an exploration of the power dynamic and romance simmering under the surface of the fabled Holmes and Watson partnership.

Sherlock Holmes may be a veritable whirlwind of logic and intellect, but without an anchor he's in danger of coming undone altogether. When he meets John Watson, war veteran and ex-army surgeon, he doesn't know what he's getting himself into. But Watson seems to understand that what he needs is a firm hand and a release of control. Somehow, with a little communication and a lot of trust, they muddle their way through a relationship that turns out to be one for the ages.

Compound a Felony: A Queer Affair of Sherlock Holmes will be available from Full Fathom Five Digital on July 29th.

The ARCs are available from NetGalley, so if you are interested please don't hesitate to send me an email at elinor@mistyzeo.net, reply here, or message me and I'll have my publisher's marketing guru supply you with a link to your own copy.

You can also read a little more about it, plus an excerpt, here: http://fullfathomfive.com/writers/eli...

Thanks for your time!

Best wishes,
Elinor

Liz (zuverity) Hi Elinor! I realize it may be too late to be of use, but if you're still looking for reviewers I would be thrilled to read and review (and I wonder if I may have run across you on AO3). Either way, best of luck to you!

Hi Liz! You may indeed have encountered me before on AO3 as mistyzeo. If you message me with your email address (or just email me at elinor@mistyzeo.net), I'll send a note to my marketing coordinator and see if there's still time for an ARC. I'd love to have your review, though! Thanks!
