AMENDMENTS All the following amendments were made after considering members' suggestions and discussion among the moderators. These amendments were finalised in the month of July, 2017.
- Only one group read per month instead of Fortnightly group reads.
- All books nominated on or before the last date of nominations will be considered for group read Poll. The winning book is the BOTM (Book of the Month). In case of a tie, a tie breaker poll would be posted.
- All Buddy read threads, which are inactive for a month or more and old Challenge threads will be moved to Gaol/Buddy Reads & Challenges
EditThe threads from 'The Ton', which are inactive for 3 months or more, will be hereafter moved to our new folder 'Chamber Pot'
The exceptions for the above rule are Hyde Park, Almack's, Parliament, Just Joined? and the Current year's Bond street threads.
AMENDMENTSAfter considering the interest and suggestions of a majority of members, the following amendments are made to the group reads.
- 2 group reads per month.
- Members are free to read the group reads anytime in the month instead of fortnightly reads.
- 2 rounds of polls will be held. The first poll link will be posted in the nominations thread and members will not receive an invite. Winner of this 1st poll is considered BOTM1. The second poll will include the top half of the remaining nominations in the order of the votes received. Members will receive an invite to this 2nd poll. Winner of the 2nd poll is considered BOTM2.
- In case of a tie in the first poll, the top 2 most voted books in the 2nd poll will be 2 group reads of the month.
Amendments in the Voting system for Group reads- A separate thread for voting will be created at the end of nominations.
-In-thread voting by point system: Members can vote for a maximum of 3 books. 3 points for the first choice, 2 points for the second choice and 1 point for the third choice. These points can always be viewed in the thread and also in the spreadsheet(link of the same will be posted in the thread).
- It is not compulsory to pick 3 choices. Fewer than 3 choices are also accepted.
- At the end of Voting period, the total points for each nomination are summed up and the two books with the most votes are considered as the 2 BOTMS.

Suzie and I have decided to create a separate group for the group reads so as not to clutter up the Historical Romance group with our discussions. We will, of course, still participate in that group. Refer to the original discussion at Historical Romance > Group Reads > Book Club | Group Read (2015).
• We will be conducting a fortnightly group read, meaning we will read an assigned book from the 1st to the 15th of the month and another from the 16th to the 30th or 31st.
• We will assign a theme for each month e.g. Medieval for July, Regency for August, Western for September, etc.
• We will have a thread set up for nominations and once we reach 8 nominations then we will create a poll. The two with the most votes will be chosen as our two monthly reads.
