It is FABIO!
The iconic 80s and 90s Historical Romance Cover art model as he acts out three romantic scenarios during the height of his fame.
I am confessing to my guilt of purchasing and reading Fabio books in the 90s (in collaboration with Eugenia Riley).

I further confess that i would have likely romanticised about him in the feature.
However, i can now say… I wouldn’t. LOL
...but, those bulging muscles… STOP!
What are your thoughts, ladies of the ton?

I'll need to YouTube that one. Oh my! Should i be worried? lol
Any fans of Tessa Dare in the group? She had a signing in our city last weekend and I didn't know she was here until she was on her way back home! Ugh! I felt devastated!

Oh Me, Mee!
I especially adore her Spindle Cove series. Arghhh!
Perhaps beg her to come back for a reprise signing :(
I wish we had the HR greats visit Australia. I know Anna Campbell is Australian, but i've never seen any news of her doing signings.

Most of those HR greats are now in their senior years and live on the other side of the world from us! And I don't think they're game to travel aaaall this way! :(
I also don't think Tessa Dare will come back any time soon. :(

Ohh! This looks so good! Yes, definitely excited for this one. x

I've added a few that came to mind. I'll update from my Calibre collection over time for you. x

Thank you Suzie!! :)

Looks like we are related, lol.
I feel tied to viking roots with my first name, but it seems a little masculine to me. Ha!

I have a confession, I haven't actually read any of the books.
As a rule (to self) I don't generally like to read movies/series that I watch because I am a tad critical of deviation from the book.
Are they recommended? Should I be brave and take on the books? lol

OMG SAM HEUGHAN IS THE BOMB. <3 But the series is better than the books IMO :( I know I hold an unpopular opinion, but I don't like Ms. Gabaldon's writing. And the story kind of goes downhill halfway through the books, so I'm hoping that they change the events in the TV series.

Thank you, Daniella. I will take your advice. I was never really attracted to the covers of her novels anyway! lol.
I will keep myself in surprise and eye candy watching the series'.

I hope no one throws rotten tomatoes at me buuuuut I do not like Diana Gabaldon's writing either. I did watch the series too but it keeps making me overwrought and I'm not sure if it's the good kind or the bad kind. I might not watch Season 2...

Yes! Some of the scenes are unnecessary and long drawn. I fast forward them, because they are disturbing to me too. I am not sure why they felt it was appropriate. The breast expressing, violence and sexual scenes are awful.
The romance i do like, and the banter is fun.
I will be keeping away from Gabaldon's books by yours and Daniella's advice.

I haven't watched Season 2 yet. To be honest I'm not very tempted to do so, judging from what my friends told me.
But on the other hand, Jamie Fraser's hotness is calling to me. Hmm.... :)) *swoon*

You and me both! that is the only reason that has me wanting to watch on...

Ohh! Grace Burrowes' latest is out today! ♥
Definitely on my MUST READ list - and a new series!
$4 on Amazon (a bargain for a new release IMO, with 416 pages).

Perhaps you are familiar with the name since it has been mentioned in many HR novels!
Almack's Assembly Rooms was a social club in London from 1765 to 1871 and one of the first to admit both men and women. People came to Almack's to see and be seen, to assert their claim to being of the highest social rank, and to network with others of the caste. Secondarily, for gentlemen seeking brides of suitable ton, it served as one of the marriage marts of Society.
This thread is for when you just want to socialize with fellow members, have a chat about general topics, related to HR and otherwise.
