I was reading the preview at Amazon and not one but two sentences starting with "And" clunked out off the page at me. Ugh. Once in a very blue moon there might be a slightly acceptable justification for doing this, but neither of these sentences convey anything important enough to split off from a longer sentence.

It is poorly written.
The writing isn't the best, but I think it's a page-turner.
