Pakistani Readers discussion

After a long delay and by much demand, it is back. The shirt story contest! I know you many of you have been anxiously awaiting an opportunity to showcase your creativity. This is your chance. Write a short story between 2500-3000 words. There is no theme, write anything your heart desires. You guys have two weeks to submit your stories. That means, that by 19th, July 2015 all stories must be submitted to my Goodreads inbox by midnight EST. That is U.S. New York time zone. It gives everyone in Pakistan some extra hours, it also makes it easier for me keep track.
Now the business about being honest. I know you all are honest lovers of reading and writing. This contest is more about sharing and learning from each other, than just winning. So, please submit original work. The admins will be checking, to our best abilities, all submissions for forgery. I'm sure we shall have no issues.
The judging will be done by the readers. The stories will be posted anonymously. Everyone who reads a story will leave a number between 1-10 as a rating. With 1 being the lowest "lord don't let this person quit their day job", and 10 being the highest "I shall follow your words to the grave." After a week of reading, we'll talky up the scores and poll for a winner from the top three stories.

Its a great activity and I hope we will get a lot from these kind of activities.

Are we supposed to post the full texts within the posts here? I'd recommend Google Drive or Pastebin at least.

Suleman u are suppose to inbox ur stories to Zainab or one of the other moderators. so that they can post the stories on the due date given in the instructions. this keeps the opinion of the reader unbiased and the judgement is honest. so please forward your stories to one of the moderators from now on.

As a matter of fact Zenab bajei I am not taking in any of short story contest because I don't write anymore, and I don't think that I was ever good at it :-(

Rai c'mon! You had the best ideas and imagination. You needed work on editing. I still think if you find someone to edit and proofread for you, you've got great stories.

I completely agree with @zenab, You should discuss the idea/story with someone first, second person's view is very useful. Never submit anything without proof reading it first, :)

Sure, Maira, I well try. I have somewhat less then three day but I will try, and my story will not be hard to detect; one with the most spelling mistakes will be my story :-D

Hey guys. The date for he short story contest has been extended until the 23rd. Please send in your stories.

I'm not sure we can extend anymore. So many people have long submitted their work and are anxiously waiting for the judging to begin. We will have another contest soon, so start writing for that

On that note the contest is now closed. I shall post the stories for everyone's enjoyment tomorrow. Please read them and comment a rating below the story. The rating is based on a scale of 1-10, with ten being the highest and one being the lowest. After everyone has read and rated, we'll talky up the scores and poll the top three for a winner. I think a week is good enough time for everyone to read and go through all the stories, right? Or more time?
