15.5. Hug a Tree
National Arbor Day is the last Friday in April. In honor of Arbor Day, read a book with a tree on the cover. REQUIRED: Include the cover in your post.

yes. It's hard to see here, but I was able to get a bigger picture on Amazon. When you post, please point out that I already approved it, so I don't have to research it again ;).

D.G. I wasn't sure if the cover had to show the whole tree or if some branches here and there would suffice?

There needs to be enough so you can tell it's a tree. All of these are fine.

Riona (rionafaith) Do these work?

On the Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta - trees in the background, but they're a bit blurry

Nation by Terry Pratchett - not sure if the leaves on the top right are enough--they look like they're at tree-height to me, though?

The Jellicoe Road is fine, easy to see they're trees.
Nation, not enough there to call it a tree, so I'm going to say no to that one.

yes, since it has squirrels and birds, I'd say it's a tree!

If you can see an actual tree in the "real" book, then we're going to go with the honor system here. I can't see any on the computer, but the cover is so dark that details just don't show - even when I enlarge the cover on amazon.

those are certainly clear, but I'm not going to disallow your first choice because of the limitations of the computer. If you can see the tree in the physical book, then it fits the task.
