RB (rblindberg) These are some very good and informative books that I've read that deal with the genre from various perspectives. I'd love to hear about which books you have read and find recommendable.

The Vampire Book by J. Gordon Melton
Transylvanian Library: A Consumer's Guide to Vampire Fiction by Greg Cox
Vampires, Burial, and Death: Folklore and Reality by Paul Barber

Those are very good books, Rita. I used "The Vampire Book" by J. Gordon Melton to write a paper in college.

If you're asking about infromative books on vampire folklore, besed The Vampire book, I like these...
Vampires: The Occult Truth
The Vampire Encyclopedia
The Science of Vampires

I would like to talk about fictional books that are about vampire and are a good alternative to Twilight. I think I'll start a thread about that.
