Chelsea (theycallmebookworm) | 1955 comments What is the habit that you have that you hate the most?

I tend to talk to myself or think out loud... I get akwardly stared at in public. A LOT.

Simmaron (mybookedlife) | 1119 comments Day dreaming. Imagining things the way I want them or what could have happened otherwise in some situations !! Lol

Grace | 148 comments It used to be yelling because I have a quick temper, then it was just spacing out for 10 to 30 minuit time lapses, but now I would say it is not ever really smiling.

Elizabeth | 2466 comments Why wouldn't you want to smile

I talk way too fast and often slur words together. My older brother and I both do it, and I'm not sure why. My dad calls us "the auctioneers." I have learned to deliberately slow down my speech around new people, but if I get excited- I automatically revert back to auctioneer mode!

Chelsea (theycallmebookworm) | 1955 comments Sometimes I randomly burst out with a random thought like:
Say my friend is talking about what we are having next period and then I'll suddenly burst out. "Divergent is so awesome, have you read it?" Totally unrelated but very important.

Jenny knows what I mean. :D

Yea, why don't you?

Simmaron (mybookedlife) | 1119 comments I don't know whether it's an annoying habit or not but I think every book lover does that.
My mood changes according to the plot of the book. Like yesterday my mind was working according to Clary's POV and mentality. Her tensions became mine and today it's Tris. My mentality and behaviour changes according to the book. Lol

Donald I'm bilingual and which language I'm thinking in at a given time is really pretty random. If I'm surprised / asked a sudden or unexpected question, occasionally I'll answer in the wrong language, which is embarrassing. Honestly I think I might hate my nail-biting habit more though, as boring as it is.

I bite my nails too, but I don't consider that an annoying habit. I don't even consider it a bad habit. My opinion is, who am I hurting by chewing on my nails? It's like having one of those stress reliever squishy balls- just another de-stressing habit.

Donald, what languages do you speak?

message 17: by Donald (new)

Donald English and Japanese at the moment. Back in secondary school I'd have Spanish swimming around in my head as well (although I wasn't quite fluent), so it was even worse. In Japan almost everybody speaks a little English (as a secondary language, it's even more prominent there than Spanish is in the States), but they also have individual borrowed words from Spanish, English, Chinese, Korean, and others ("pan" for bread, "konpyuutaa" for computer, etc). Hearing two bilingual Japanese people talking is one of the most confusing experiences I've ever had, as they tend to jump back and forth mid-sentence between one language and the other, so these days I tend to forgive my own language-confusion pretty easily, lol.

How cool! My ex sister-in-law was from Japan (her name was Yoko Uno, LOL), and I always wanted to learn, but she and my brother divorced before I could ask her to teach me a few words. I speak a little Korean and a little Spanish...I actually speak more Korean than Spanish, which is stupid because I live a bajillion miles from Korea and 30 miles from Mexico. You're right about bilingual people switching back and forth constantly. Around here I hear Spanglish so often I barely notice it anymore!

That is SO COOL!!! I wish I could do that... :D

νєяαℓι∂αιиє | 26 comments My most annoying habit? Probably procrastination. I'll put off anything as long as I can.

The other one might be when I'm reading and someone asks me a question it has to sink through the layers until I realise that someone was talking to me, then I have to ask them to repeat the question... Lol

message 21: by Chelsea (new)

Chelsea (theycallmebookworm) | 1955 comments Procrastination! LOL right now I am procrastinating, while I should be doing homework...
