In preparation for the coming release of Dr. Sleep (the sequel to The Shining), I've decided to go back and re-read The Shining. However, going to the library and checking out the book reminded me of another favorite piece of writing by Stephen King. It's a famous article named "Imagery and the Third Eye."
The first time I ever read it was in the late eighties in a freshman comp class. I've gone back to it over the years, to remind myself about the great advice I found there.
