What did you think?

I could chalk up the other incidents to misunderstandings (kinda), but that last incident put me over the edge!! They had just gotten engaged and she was pregnant with his kid. When Blaire had to walk to Bethy's place because she didnt have keys or a phone, I was fuming, lol. Then he didnt call for a week to check on her? There's no way I would have been there when he returned. And if I were, Rush would have had to do some EPIC groveling!
But I'm not a pregnant 19 yr old girl with barely any family and no money of my own, so I had to take that into account.

I would have been gone too... Like you said I was crying when she walked to Bethy's place and he didn't call for a week. I would have asked Woods to help me escape this hell and moved on with my life. Rush would had to get a PI to find me but that would have been book 3. (LOL)

Also, you can't blame Rush entirely for Blaire walking to Bethy's place. She could have called anyone to come get her and it was her pride that stopped her from doing so. I was angry with Blaire in this part because, yes, walking three miles, alone, at night is very dangerous and she should have called someone to come pick her up.
I was disappointed because Rush and Blaire have such a superficial relationship. Rush saying "these are mine!" when referring to Blaire's girl parts? Really?? That's just disgusting. Then Blaire is so dependent on everyone and it seems like she can't do anything on her own. She can throw tantrums and run off, but she never proved she could do things on her own. Woods gave her a job, after Bethy and Rush secured it for her; Rush paid for her apartment; he bought her clothes, furniture, food; Cain tried to fix her car; and the only thing she really has to deal with are her emotions. There was no depth, really, to me because they were always either having sex or getting jealous and then getting into arguments and then groveling.

It sounds like you are more disappointed in Blaire than Rush. I am too for the reason; I thought Blaire was too passive in this book when it came to Rush. She is only 19 yrs old pregnant with no family and every man in her life has let her down. Her father walking out, Cain not sticking by her in time of need(cheating and etc), Rush holding secrets about HER life. Woods was the only person that actually helped by telling her she would always have a job. (meaning she was good at her job)Now, the other stuff as in paying for her condo, she paid what they told her to pay. She didn't know until she moved out that it was paid for a year by Rush. The bedroom set(First off what furniture store deliveries same day??...don't get me started on that)Rush was trying to make up to Blaire and his baby by buying that crap. But yelling at her to get out of the car when all she was trying to do is be there for him in his time of need. If something happen to my siblings, I would be frantic too but I know that the person with me is pregnant and I don't want anything to happen to them either. So waiting until the garage door is open or seeing her go safely in the house before leaving. I know he was feeling guilty about his sister but damn he can still pick up the phone and tell Blaire that. Tell her something don't just leave her worrying if she even has a life with you or not. I do wish she had a back bone like in the first book and just leave. How many times does he after to let her down before she leaves?

Warpemind, I agree with you somewhat; we have 3 furniture stores in the Houston area that deliver same day, I've personally seen their trucks riding around town well after 11:00 at night, so thats possible. At first I was disappointed and frustrated with Blair when she kept ignoring Rush after she got back to town and he was doing everything he could to get her back and her not just coming clean and telling him about the pregnancy. Then when she finally blurts it out he tries to do everything in his power to make her life easier even going as far as telling both his mother and sister to get lost (basically). He ignored their calls for days if not weeks while he played house with Blair so he kinda got a half 'get out of jail card' when he didn't want Blair to go with him to the hospital not knowing what condition he would find his sister, mind you the only real family he felt he had all those years. But it was totally inexcusable for him to just drive away leaving her standing on the curb, and it was such a dickass move not to call her for a week because of his weak guilt ridden pride. But where would she have gone, she had very little money, no car, no family was pregnant and only 19 in a town that was not where she grew up. For 7 days the only contact she appeared to have had was with Woods, he did as much for her as she would let him but honestly do we think that he would have continued to support her knowing that she was carrying another man's baby the man she chose over him when he was trying to snare her and let's not forget that she was in love with this cat, when you're 19 pregnant and believe you're in love with the baby's daddy who by the way happens to be pretty well off, you have no where else to go no real money to speak of on your own would you have honestly left and if you which way would you have headed? Maybe in Book 5 we'll get some of those answers looks like Woods will get his story told in Book 3 and Grant's in Book 4 so we'll have to wait and see!!!!

Yeah, I am definitely more disappointed in Blaire than in Rush. In the first book, Blaire was a gun-wielding, independent woman whose actions showed that she was capable of succeeding on her own, but in this one she just became so dependent on Rush and all her friends and not only that, but she was made out to be so frail and weak.
Her father walking out and Cain not sticking by her were also issues in the first book and they didn't make her dependent. Rush kept that secret from her and I would understand distrust for him, but she just took him back so easily and once she did, he did everything for her.
I agree that maybe he should have waited until she got in, but if Nan was his entire life up until a couple of months before then I can understand how he wouldn't be in the right state of mind at that moment. That's not an excuse, but it is an explanation. And I don't know what was up with not calling her for a week. I know he feels guilty, but I don't know what that had to do with not calling.
I don't think they're right for each other. Or maybe they are, but their relationship just doesn't seem like a good one.

Agreed! Sadly, most 19 yr olds, like Blaire, are too immature still to see it! Woods is the man you wish you had gone with when you're older and grown up lol

LOL Totally.. just hoping Abbi Glines will lift rush character/personality on 3rd book

And yes, I agree Rush is a jerk. He was as childish as the hateful Nan towards the end, me no likey :(

That's exactly how I felt - I think the author got a little too stoked about Fallen Too Far's success and wanted to ride the wave of it so she rushed Never Too Far. It was so apparent how hastily it was written, not well laid out or thought out and certainly not true to character (Rush keeps saying he's going to put Blaire first but when did he ever in the book - I didn't expect it to end before he'd proven that he actually would at least once!).

it did indeed feel like an episode of teen mom. so much melodrama and the insecure Blaire really got on my nerves sometimes.
I wished that sometimes Rush and Blaire would sit down and talk, but everytime they got together, they just had sex. it seemed to me that their relationship was just sex and nothing else.
like someone above said, it was pretty disturbing how rush thought it was necessary to keep reminding blaire that she was HIS. I really liked it when he got jealous of other men that flirted with Blair but that got old pretty fast too.
like I previously said, the first book had a lot more depth, it was such an amazing book, but this one didn't have strong plot. it just felt a little rushed and sloppy.

Same here. I was hoping for much more in NTF but really, nothing much actually happened. I'm glad she's writing a third book and I hope it has a lot more going on that NTF.

Blaire.....UGH!!!! She drove me up the bloody wall, needy, clingy over all pathetict.
Ive had to put the book down a few times and walk away from it from sheer frustration.
Im looking forward to the story about Woods, I like that hes ballsy, and a bit more bad ass than rush.

i was dying for the book to come and when it did i all but wanted to through it out the window. i was that muvh disappointed.
not what i wexpected. this was so not the Blair in the first book. hell i didn't even know it was the same Rush.

I couldn't agree more! I hated Rush and Blaire in this book! All the promises Rush made to Blaire were empty. He was all words and no actions. When the time came he chose nan, again!!! He didn't call for a week!!! Not even a text!!! If nan hadn't woken up does that mean he would have gone on without talking to Blaire? I hate that Blaire just forgave him, she didn't even call him on it. Ugh! Blaire was terrible. She had such low self esteem.

couldnt agree more, I cringe at the thought of rush!

I agree with you. I kept hoping she would end up with someone better, like Woods.

Did you read twisted perfection? Wood's story ;))

Yes I read Twisted perfection and it was great, but there is a continuation to another book coming out in the fall. i like woods, but Rush makes my heart pitter patter..lol

I can't wait to read there next book, hopefully it ends well.

what could be blaire's height?

-4.5 stars

I think that Rush did right. He could have been more gentle towards Blaire,of course (but where's the fun in that?)I believe Miss Abbi Glines wanted to keep some drama in the book.I fairly enjoyed it.

I like the book a lot. All three books actually and I can totally agree with you about the Rush and Nan thing. I was honestly pissed off during those parts because he made the promise that he wasnt going to leave her for anything and he kept doing it. But after I feel like he man up alittle.

I'm probably the only one who is not on Team Rush Crush. He talked a good game but his actions did not stand up to the words. And Blaire just kept forgiving him. Ugh!
Maybe I'm not alone?
