So far of all the Sherlock Holmes novels/stories I've read this has been my favourite. What about you?

Mitchell Fobbester (the-mad-king) | 40 comments Completely the opposite, i didn't care for it at all. It's probably the most famous of all the Sherlock Holmes stories and i had high very expectations for it that it just didn't reach.

Angelique (angelique682) That's what happens when you have high expectations. Something has to be absolutely brilliant to meet it. (Look I did not miss spell meet:D)
I try to mostly not expect to much so I won't be disappointed.

That happens when I watch movies about a book that I've already read. Very disappointing :( I haven't read any of the books yet sadly but once I get through my pile from the library now, I will have to read them.

Innaya | 394 comments It's good, but i think to me, the short stories are better than the novels. right?

Mitchell Fobbester (the-mad-king) | 40 comments I prefer the short stories to. The first Sherlock Holmes book i read was "The adventures of Sherlock Holmes". It's the one i recommend that people start off with. If i had started with "The Hound of the Baskervilles" i probably wouldn't of continued the series.

Farah (bookworm-87) I liked it, it was good. It's the only Sherlock Holmes book I've read, but even though it was a short book, it took two months to read it. I just wasn't that into it. But I liked it.

Asterion (Yimsel) | 4 comments Hasham, you should read 'lock and key' it's a Sherlock story (not by Conan Doyle) about the childhood of Sherlock and moriarty.
