Do try Eragon as it is an easy read. Immortal life of Henrietta Lacks is very interesting. Charlie & the Chocolate Factory is a great kids book as is Anne of Green Gables and Journey to the River Sea.
I personally hate Life of Pi and most Dickens is hard work.
I did enjoy Clan of the Cave bear years ago.
Hope this helps.

I already have Life of Pi so thats going to be done soon.
Yeah, I think Dickens will be saved for last...
The others I have never heard of, thanks for pointing them out!

Welcome, just found the copy of wrinkle in time so that will be next. Good reading.
I agree with Bev that Life of Pi isn't the best book in the world. I found it dissapointing in the end and I also watched the film last week and found it dissapointing for the same reason.
The Poisonwood Bible is one of my favourites, so check that one out.
Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging is a funny read which takes only a few hours.
Just to let you know. I replaced the bible on my list with The Immortal Life of Henrietta... so it isn't actually on the list. Feel free to change it back to The Bible or something else of your choice. :)

Honestly read Immortal Life instead of the Bible. It is a much better read ( chuckle)

Sorry about that :D I discovered that it was in the original list after all, so I deleted my previous comment. :D I was going crazy trying to figure out why everyone was saying the Bible though. lol
That's hilarious! Reminds me of when I asked friends in a group if they wanted to read North & South with me for a buddy read. I meant the one by Gaskell, but several thought I meant the one by Jakes about the Civil War. We ended up reading both. LOL I'm just finishing up Jakes'. Both were great.

So, 27 read, 2 currently reading, 71 to go :D
I'm thinking of the Poisonwood Bible next, all the praise has made me very curious!

Definitely read the Poisonwood Bible as soon as physically possible. In fact you should hunt the book down this minute and start reading by midnight. :)

I so agree. I had previously read Lone Wolf by Picoult, so I replaced #75 with it and replaced #74 with The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. :D
Never read a jodi picoult before. Once started Picture Perfect but somewhere along the line I stopped reading it I guess.
I'm not too interested in reading Picoult, but I know she's pretty popular. I should try one though, I suppose.

I quite liked Lone Wolf as it is based on a factual man in the UK who looks after wolves. Most of Picoults books are very average.

So 28 read as of today.

I couldn't put it down again, so I cheated on the books I was "suposed" to be reading with it until it was finished. Great story, beautifully told.

Oooohh now you've done it! You spelled Anne without the E! :P
So, I've finished Anne of Green Gables today (My small review/opinion here ).
29 read! :)

Oops! I should have known better!!!! :-)
I'm wanting more & more to read the next one in the series. I got all of them for my Kindle. Thought I'd read some this summer while we're traveling in the RV.

With so many in the series, I was surprised she aged so much in the first one. I'm really looking forward to the rest.
Yes it is!! I love that I got to grow up with Anne...I read all the books as I grew up, so I went through everything with Anne!!!
I have been reading for as long as I can remember...My mom says I was born with a book in my hand!!! I never leave home without one!!!

Also, I have the habit of reading while I eat - I try my best to go to lunch alone when I'm at work or at college, so I can read without being rude xD When I was a kid, I used to slip a book open in my lap and try to sneak a read at the dinner table when my mom wasn't looking. She still goes nut when I do it xD

My 4th grade teacher wrote on my report card that I read too much. :-) I don't remember a time when I couldn't read.

Started nº31: The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver ^^
I think Austen is a bit like that. Takes a while to get interesting but once it does, it's worth it.
