Hi all you good people! Thanks for the invitation. I'm an early retired teacher (had to quit when I could to keep my sanity) and a multi-genre author and host of a podcast blog at http://2012writersalive.blogspot.com I've interviewed some NYT best selling authors and other famous and not so famous people. Since Romance writing is the growing trend now, I just can't look away. I guess my writing is also a bit romantic but more on the dark and edgy side. Best wishes to all in whatever you are working on!

Kelly McClymer (kellymcclymer) | 1 comments Hi! Thanks for the invite, Angela! I am a romance reader from way back (favorite all time is Laura Kinsale). I also have written a historical romance series (Once Upon a Wedding).

I'm going to be controversial here, but I'm not loving the new crop of historicals that are all love scene and not that much history. I really like the feeling of being immersed in the period. Any pointers in the direction of meaty history historicals would be much appreciated (not dissing the love heavy ones, just find they don't leave me as satisfied :-)

Hi, I'm a book lover from Quebec, Canada! I live in french but read my books in English. I prefer stories of the Regency-Victoria era and Scottish romances, I read 2-3 books a week, love them all. But, I don't often read contemporary or vampire stories. I love to discover "new-to-me" authors and their books, sometimes I do discover a gem! I am retire from work! Usually, when I read a book, I write a review for it, to thank the author! You can see my reviews here on Goodreads! Always, up for a challenge! I was surprised by Angela's invitation, since I do not write! I can't wait to see your books!

K. Smith (kayandersensmith) | 3 comments Like many of you, I'm a novice authorette from somewhere in eastern Ontario, Canada. I do have a rather boring (but entirely neccessary) day job, and love supernatural romance, urban fantasy, and paranormal romance. Also some light SF now and again.

I'll save the self-promo for the appropriate section, but my own reading interests revolve around Karen Marie Moning, Karen Chance, and Laurel K. Hamilton, until Anita Blake hit book 11, and it went silly-silly. ;)

message 39: by Alan (new)

Alan Hardy | 4 comments Hi, I'm Alan Hardy and am a Brit. I'm a director of an English language school for foreign students. Married, with one daughter. Poetry pamphlets: Wasted Leaves, 1996; I Went With Her, 2007. I've had poems published in such magazines as Orbis, Iota, The Interpreter's House, Poetry Nottingham, Poetry Salzburg Review, Poetry Cornwall, and others. I have now written five novels. I would describe them as surreal novels exploring the nature of relationships, romantic and sexual, and Britain's class-system, with liberal use of comedy and satire, creating original and riveting settings full of humour, romance, sex and adventure. One of them, GABRIELLA (a bawdy, comic, satirical romp), is now up on Amazon, etc., and I will give details in the AUTHOR section.
I’ve been writing poetry for many years, with some success. I wrote a novel or two when I was very young, but have only recently returned to writing novels. I think it’s always a lame excuse to say you just don’t have time to write a novel, what with work, or study, or family commitments, etc., that there just aren’t enough moments in the day… What I’ve found is that when you do finally start writing (you know, call time on all those excuses), then there are more than enough hours and minutes in the day to keep on and on writing. So, don’t listen to those excuses. Find the time. Write that novel that’s been buzzing around in your head such a long time. You won’t regret it.

Tambra Kendall Hi y'all,
Thank you for the invitation to be a part of the group!

I'm Tambra Nicole Kendall. I write romance with a strong Celtic slant. The heat levels range from sensual to erotic.
The love of things Celtic are come by honestly since I'm mostly Scottish and English; with a bit of Irish and Welsh tossed in.

I've been published by small press and a few e-pubs. About a year-and-a-half ago I started Daughters of Avalon Publishing, LLC to publish my work.

My newest title is: The Scottish-English Texan: 56 Teatime Recipes by Tambra Nicole Kendall, available in print and ebook from Amazon. The book made it to number 1 in the Kindle store in its category.

Currently, the print version is on sale at Amazon.

I'm looking forward to networking with all of you.

All the best,
Tambra Nicole Kendall
