1. Did you feel this was a plot or character driven story?
2. Did you connect with the characters? Why/why not?
3. Were you able to find the red herrings in the story?
4. Were the red herrings obvious or subtle?
5. Did you feel the author played fair with the reader with the clues in solving the mysteries in the story?
6. What was the most/least interesting thing about the story?
7. Did you learn anything about Scotland (or anything Scottish) you didn’t know before? If so, did that make the story more/less interesting?
8. Would you want to read more books in this series?

A good yarn, with a thinly veiled clue to the murderer. Plot travels from UK to USA back to UK, lots of characters, several deaths, a castle full of secret passages and a fabulous treasure. Well worth a read.
