The very centre of the school. Students and teachers can eat, study or chill here.

message 2: by [deleted user] (new)

Dawn walked into the courtyard with a smile. She flicked her red hair over one shoulder and sat down at a table.

message 3: by [deleted user] (new)

Dawn watched Jenna walk past and smiled at her. "Hi."

message 4: by [deleted user] (new)

"I'm Dawn, pleased to meet you." She said, noting the accent.

message 5: by [deleted user] (new)

Odette wandered into the courtyard laughing heartily with multiple boys, all who seemed to be glued to her. She held in her hand a cigarette and a bottle of Smirnoff treble distilled vodka, she was not yet drunk, no where near, but the boys seemed to be. They were all attempting to wrap their arms around her and trying to sing, unsuccessfully.

message 6: by [deleted user] (new)

Upon hearing the boys and the singing, Dawn turned her dead towards the sound, watching Odette wander in. She watched the crowd with interest.

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

"Nice to meet you, Jenna." Dawn said again.

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

Odette grinned, screaming playfully when the boys grabbed her by her slim waist, hoisting her into the air.
"Boys!" she laughed, as she was thrown on someone's shoulders, he simply grinned up to her, mouthing 'Hello Princess'.
Odette placed the cigarette between her lips, smoking it easily as she allowed the boys to sit down, taking the vodka bottle from her hands as she remained on this boys shoulders.

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

Dawn blinked, watching the scene unfold. Well, this was different to the actings of Fae, that was for sure.

message 10: by [deleted user] (last edited Mar 27, 2013 05:22AM) (new)

Dawn breathed in the edge of the chilled air. "Lovely." She murmured, closing her eyes.

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

Due to the fact that alcohol naturally pushed your blood closer to the skin, the chill in the air did not seem to affect them in the slightest.
Odette leaned down to whisper in the boys ear, his face lightened up, but his eyes darkened with desire.
She laughed easily as she pushed his head playfully, glancing around to spot to other girls, she threw them a friendly smile, waving.
The boys looked over also, waving and shouting at them to join them.

message 12: by [deleted user] (last edited Mar 27, 2013 05:24AM) (new)

Dawn opened her eyes. "No, no, it was wonderful. Just like back home." She waved back at Odette and slowly walked over.

message 13: by [deleted user] (new)

Odette rolled her eyes to the group, asking to be placed down one picked her off the males shoulders, placing her on her feet, not releasing her till he kissed her quite fully on the lips, a kiss she returned, it would have been rude not to.
After being released from his grasp she ran over to Jenna, smiling easily.
"Hey," she grinned, indicating to the boys who were now play fighting over her, "Sorry about them, animals so they are,"

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

"Hey Jenna, I'm Odette, you can call me anything really," she replied, "Oddie, Oddo, Spence, Odd, Oddz" she named a few just to give her an example, a few which were shouted by the boys also, as if to help her name herself.
"Most picked by these monkeys," she shouted to them, who simply made monkey impressions.

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

Dawn watched from a distance, the two groups interesting her.

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

Odette spotted the girl watching them from a distance, she waved her hand in a manner which meant she should come and join them.
"I don't bite!" she shouted over, "But they guys might," she added as an after-thought, which was answered by the boys roar of laughter and cheers.

message 17: by [deleted user] (new)

Dawn smiled and walked over. "If they bite, I'll bite back." She said with a smile.

message 18: by [deleted user] (new)

Dawn smiled even wider when Jenna giggled.

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

"They'll like that," she smiled, turning her attention to a boy who came running up to her, another bottle in his hand, a proud look plastered across his grinning face, he reminded her of a puppy, eager to please his master.
"I got your poison," he teased handing her the bottle, to which she smiled gratefully.
"Absinthe," she murmured softly, her eyes turned greedy almost, "I was drinking this before any of your parents were born," she shouted to the boys, who howled at her.

message 20: by [deleted user] (new)

Dawn chuckled. "Is that group always like that?" She asked curiously.

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

"When they're drunk and high, yeah," she answered easily as one boy stumbled up to her, wrapping his arms around her waist so he could pull her back against him, his lips locking automatically on her neck.
"No drinking me this time," she warned, tilting her neck sideways but her attention remained on the girls.
"So, up for a party?" she asked, her hand knotting in the boys hair.

message 22: by [deleted user] (new)

"Yeah, sounds great." Dawn answered, a twinkle in her eyes.

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

Odette grinned but it quickly disappeared when she gasped lightly, pushing the boy back violently, placing her hand on her neck delicately.
"I said NO biting!" she growled, the boy simply grinned, wiping away some blood that stained his lips, "But you taste good," he added before running off.
Odette sighed, removing her hand, the puncture marks in her neck had already healed.
"Damn vampires," she muttered, smiling to the girls.

message 24: by [deleted user] (new)

Dawn smiled back. "I haven't met one before, so I wouldn't know." She said. "Hey, I heard there was a nightclub in town. Are you interested?"

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

"Where people dance, drink and pick up guys." Dawn answered. "According to humans, that is."

message 26: by [deleted user] (new)

"Do you want to come anyway?" Dawn asked.

((gtg, bye!))

message 27: by Alizarin (new)

Alizarin Finnick strolled into the courtyard, his eyes scanning the crowd for any familiar faces. Jenna and Dawn sat huddled on a picnic table, accompanied by none other than Oddette. He groaned inwardly. Her troupe of followers howled and harassed the three girls from a meager distance, drunk and mostly likely high. As Finn approached the center of the courtyard, many began to point nervously at him and back away slowly, ready to disperse if he drew any nearer.

Chelsey (A.K.A. Sely/Sley and Chesney)) (delihliana) Gwyn walks into the courtyard with her lunch, searching for a spot

message 29: by [deleted user] (new)

Odette eyed her boys as Finnick appeared, they seemed less rowdy that before, she gave out a low sigh, before taking a substantial swig of her absinthe. She moved to sit on the edge of a table, as soon as she sat down one of the boys had wedged themselves between her legs attempting to flirt, but she was no longer in her playful mood, she smiled to the boy, playing with his hair but avoiding any kissing.

message 30: by Alizarin (last edited Mar 27, 2013 02:59PM) (new)

Alizarin He could smell the alcohol from across the courtyard. Its putrid fumes caressed his face and invaded his thoughts, casting a dour cloud over his previous contentment. Why any immortal would choose to live the way Odette did, Finn would never know. Even in his darkest days he'd chosen to avoid such profligacy. As he walked past the trio and headed towards the gate, Finn brushed away the fumes with a breeze of cool autumn air. Odette's posse shivered uncomfortably. He smiled. At least a few were still smart enough to fear him.

message 31: by [deleted user] (new)

Odette rolled her eyes as Finnick walked past, she couldn't quite understand why someone who was immortal would waste their life. She could not understand why would you not indulge yourself in humanly pleasure such as sex, drugs and alcohol where was the harm?
She also found it rather irritating that her companions found him somewhat dangerous, he walked around like he was all high and mighty be he was not.

Odette being somewhat bored of these boys antics allowed her mind to wander, it's telepathic vectors wandering aimlessly skimming over the mundane thoughts of others, but truly she had one target in mind. She could sense Finnick's mental presence, she reached out to him, binding his mind to hers as if they were knitted together at the seam.

Lighten up Finny , her mind projected, the message being sent quite directly to his mind, her voice coming off playful but yet it held a serious undertone.

message 32: by [deleted user] (new)

Dawn watched Finnick curiously, trying to figure out what he was. He carried himself like the ones of old did, how her old friends did. Her eyes widened in shock and she cursed under her breath. A Dark Fae was here. Dawn wasn't exactly a Light Fae herself, but she had come to fear certain Dark Fae in the old times.

message 33: by [deleted user] (new)

Odette sat quietly, waiting for Finnick to respond to her telepathic message, she twirled her hair around her finger in a somewhat bored manner. Her eyes wandered over the boys around, all pumped up and ready to party, but her usually equal need had vanished.
"Guys, I ain't up for partying no more, you take these two girls though, yeah?" she smiled despite the fact the boys booed her.

Chelsey (A.K.A. Sely/Sley and Chesney)) (delihliana) Gwyn smells alcohol and wrinkles her nose walking to an empty table far away from the smell

message 35: by [deleted user] (new)

Dawn sat down, still wary of Finnick. Another Fae, another Fae, another Fae... kept on running through her head. She was nervous on the inside, but didn't show it.

message 36: by Alizarin (new)

Alizarin Finnick's expression soured once again as he gave Odette a tired look. I'd appreciate it if you stayed out of my head, he communicated back. And no, I will not 'lighten up'. His eyes strayed to the other girl in the courtyard. Her scent was familiar, both earthy and ancient. The smell of a Fae. Had he seen her before? It seemed that he would've remembered another of his own kind.

message 37: by [deleted user] (new)

Dawn tilted her head slightly as she caught his eyes stray to her. What would he do? She'd left the 'lighter' Fae to be 'neutral', but she still feared the Dark Fae slightly.

message 38: by Alizarin (new)

Alizarin He caught her gaze and held it coolly, trying to discern the nature of her aura. It was neither dark nor light, which surprised him. Many of the modern Fae had taken sides. And she was much younger than him, that he could tell. Just how much younger, he wasn't sure. Finn sat down in the shade and sent a cool breeze rippling through the courtyard. A peace offering, to show her that he meant no harm.

message 39: by [deleted user] (new)

Dawn saw that he sat and smiled faintly for a second. She kept the gaze linked, her eyes not wavering, which was probably not a smart move, but she could deal with it. She contemplated walking over to him, but he could react in either way, so she stayed put.

message 40: by Alizarin (new)

Alizarin Finn sat back and closed his eyes, trying to remain passive. Perhaps she would approach him first. After a minute or two, he sighed and ran a hand through his hair. Curiosity overcame his hesitation. Peeling himself away from the shadows, Finn made his way to the other girl's table. He could feel her skin tighten as he approached. "Good afternoon," he said, sitting himself a safe distance across from her. "I apologize if I've unnerved you."

message 41: by [deleted user] (new)

Dawn had frozen when he came over. She blinked slowly, watching him. "Hello." She answered. "That is okay. Our past does play a lot in... Fae relations." She was curious, why had he come over? She felt like tilting her head and moving her hand to her dagger in a reflex, but didn't, nervous that that would be considered as hostile, which she wasn't.

message 42: by Alizarin (new)

Alizarin Centuries of experience had taught Finn to master his self-control. Still, he almost felt a smile slip onto his face. This would be interesting. "Yes. I suppose they have," he said. He could tell she was nervous, probably more than she should be. "I simply came over to introduce myself. No harm in that, right?" He let a tiny grin flicker across his features. "Finnick Ronan. Pleased to meet you."

message 43: by [deleted user] (new)

Dawn breathed a quiet sigh of relief and relaxed slightly. "Dawn Shadows." She answered. "Pleased to meet you too." She smiled softly at his tiny grin. "Neutral Fae after being Light."

message 44: by Alizarin (new)

Alizarin Finnick gave a tiny nod in acknowledgement. "Nice name," he said. "You can call me Finn, if you like. I don't choose sides much, either." He couldn't tell her the entire truth, of course. Much too complicated.

message 45: by [deleted user] (new)

"Finn's a nice name too." Dawn said. It was a very nice name. His aura was dark and neutral, which confused her. "Sides can be overrated, espically in wars."

message 46: by Alizarin (new)

Alizarin Finn held back a bitter chuckle. "You have no idea," he said, leaning back against the table. "Wouldn't even know if there was a war going on. You're the first Fae I've spoken to in..." he pretended to count on his fingers. "a hundred years or so."

message 47: by [deleted user] (new)

Dawn smiled. "That makes two of us, if you don't count my brother. Talking to another Fae is nice." Her brother had tired her and other species didn't understand all that well.

message 48: by Alizarin (new)

Alizarin "It's different, yes," he agreed. She'd surprised him again. "Though I can't remember the last time I've spoken to someone like you. Others aren't nearly as able to hold such a civil conversation. Many would have tried to kill me by now."

message 49: by [deleted user] (new)

Dawn chuckled, nearly sounding grim. "When you know some things, you don't try to kill every Fae you see." She answered. "It can be... dangerous. And you look like a good and experienced fighter."

message 50: by Alizarin (new)

Alizarin "That's why I'm still here," he replied with a light in his eyes. "Though it's been years since I've needed to practice. Things aren't nearly as brutal as they were back in the day." Finn glanced at her in curiosity. "So. When exactly was your time? If you don't mind me asking, that is. Some girls get feisty about their age."
