I think the original novel was 'Mike' and it was later split into two separate books: 'Mike at Wrykyn' and 'Mike and Psmith'. With the second volume, Wodehouse moved from the school-boy ripping yarns that he had been writing to the more adult comedy he is generally known for. So be aware, if you choose to read 'Mike', good and enjoyable as it is, until the appearance of Psmith half way through you may not feel as though you are reading the Wodehouse we all know and love.
