message 3: by Lori (new)

Lori (lorimcd) Thanks, Stacia. Somehow I didn't see this thread. I'll post more questions here soon.

message 4: by Leea, Escape Artist (new)

Leea | 1437 comments It's funny that we haven't used this thread yet. I can't wait for the new book :)

message 5: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments Lori you are on a roll!!

Into the Fire wasn't my favorite either but it had some elements I really liked. As to pinky, I believe this comes out during into the fire: (view spoiler).

Force of Nature was one of my favorites. I just loved Ric and Annie. Ric's friend is one of the characters in the new spinoff series. I can't wait!

message 6: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments Lori - -you mean place Will from the short story/novella?

message 7: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments Do Or Die by Suzanne Brockmann <----- I CAN'T WAIT!

message 8: by Gwennie, Mrs. Bookworm (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) | 1116 comments It KILLS me that it's soooo far away! I want it NOW.

(I was totally coming in to answer her question about Eden and (view spoiler).)

Ooh, that looks good! Wow, looking at the whole series laid out like that above - I'm glad I didn't have the visual going in because crazy amount to read! I may have passed and wouldn't that have been a shame?

message 10: by Leea, Escape Artist (new)

Leea | 1437 comments That would have been a damn shame. Plus these covers don't do the content justice. You know? Brockmann is an amazing writer.

message 11: by Lori (new)

Lori (lorimcd) Pinkie - (view spoiler). It just seemed like some sort of clue that I didn't pick up on. PLEASE tell me that there's more about Izzy (view spoiler) in another book! I'm not sure about them, and in a way, I feel like Izzy could do so much better. It's like a throw-away, like with Sam. And yet... maybe it's a really good thing. I can't decide just yet.

Into the Night wasn't my fav book, either... but mostly because it's got SO MUCH IN IT! It felt like a really, really long book until the 2/3rd mark. And then everything was so rushed and so frantic!

The Will I mentioned is from All Through The Night, (view spoiler) And I'd forgotten about "meeting" Will in the Tess and Nash book Flashpoint, where we also "met" Decker, Dave, Sophia, and Murphy. His description was familiar to me, but I couldn't place him. (view spoiler)Is Will in some of the latter books? I am right about it being the same guy, right? He didn't come across so well in Flashpoint, but he wasn't supposed to. If I remember, he got his comeuppance a bit, and he seemed to show that he could be more than than just (view spoiler)

Is the Do or Die book a spin-off of Troubleshooters or a new series? Have any of you read any of the other books outside Troubleshooters by Suzanne Brockmann?

message 12: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments Should we discuss it here?

Just saw your question Lori, I have. I read a few of her other military series she wrote before TS. I was not a fan, but many fans of her say there are gems in that series.

I also read two of her standalones -- really good character development, funny back and forths between the characters and hot sex scenes but they didn't have the same magic.

I also tried her PNR attempt and thought it was just OK.

All of the books were well written, just weren't for me.

These are the ones I read Shane's Last Stand (Fighting Destiny, #0.5) by Suzanne Brockmann Born To Darkness (Fighting Destiny, #1) by Suzanne Brockmann Infamous by Suzanne Brockmann Prince Joe (Tall, Dark & Dangerous, #1) by Suzanne Brockmann Body Language by Suzanne Brockmann Frisco's Kid (Tall, Dark & Dangerous #3) by Suzanne Brockmann

message 13: by Leea, Escape Artist (new)

Leea | 1437 comments Yes, good call. Thanks Regina.

I don't want this to end... but i'm dying to know what happens too. Ahh!

message 14: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments Leea -- this is in response to your comment about the water scene on the other thread. Damn! I was snorting and laughing in bed, I kept waking up my husband. It was so funny! I love the description of Magnificience for Ian.

I guess I like the characters with an "I" name in Brockmann's books. :)

message 15: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments I think I may re-read it soon again.

message 16: by Gwennie, Mrs. Bookworm (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) | 1116 comments I want to read her PNR, because if it's like her Troubleshooters the first is eh, but they'll get better.

Yeah, let's move the conversation over here. :)

I just wish I had more time to read right now! I want to fly through it, lmao.

message 17: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments But then it will be over - -so savor it! :)

I haven't heard if there will be a 2nd released in the pnr series, have you?

message 18: by Leea, Escape Artist (new)

Leea | 1437 comments It was hilarious and we got to see the snarky side of Phoebe more and It was awesome! She doesn't stop, just wait... OMG! I've been highlighting like a crazy woman. Ha!

Gwennie (blessedwannab) | 1116 comments You guys are killing me!

message 23: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments LOL true Wendy. ;) The first was released early 2012 and there is no rumor of a 2nd. I think it kind of flopped, but I could be wrong.

message 24: by Gwennie, Mrs. Bookworm (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) | 1116 comments That's a bummer, lol. I probably won't give it a shot then.

message 25: by Leea, Escape Artist (new)

Leea | 1437 comments I'm sorry Wendy!! I hope to finish today but I also want to savor it.

message 26: by Gwennie, Mrs. Bookworm (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) | 1116 comments It's no problem! My reading this month was pathetic, lol. I think i only knocked out two books... sad.

message 27: by Gwennie, Mrs. Bookworm (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) | 1116 comments Okay, don't tell me if i'm right, at 28%, but does anyone else get the impression that (view spoiler)?

Granted, I'm just in the scene when Berto is first introduced so I could be totally wrong.

message 28: by Leea, Escape Artist (new)

Leea | 1437 comments Keep reading :) I can't say more than that...

message 29: by Angie Elle, BaBAMB!!! (new)

Angie Elle (angieelle) | 696 comments I can't get through this as fast as I'd like because I have some ARCs coming up that I have to get read, but I'm having a hard time putting it down. Ian's inner dialogue is hilarious, as is Pheobe's. I am so intrigued to find out how they are all going to get out of this. I love how SB works things out for her characters. It always seems to be something you'd never expect.

I've read some other SB books. One that I read years ago and absolutely LOVED was 'Letters to Kelly.' But then I picked it up this summer and read parts of it and it wasn't at all what I remembered. Needless to say, I don't love that one anymore.

message 30: by Leea, Escape Artist (new)

Leea | 1437 comments I finished and I loved it!!

Where is everyone else in the book? How are you liking it?

message 31: by Gwennie, Mrs. Bookworm (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) | 1116 comments I'm at 40%.

message 32: by Leea, Escape Artist (new)

Leea | 1437 comments It get's so good around that part. What do you think so far Wendy?

message 33: by Gwennie, Mrs. Bookworm (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) | 1116 comments I'm loving it! very little reading today though.

message 34: by Angie Elle, BaBAMB!!! (new)

Angie Elle (angieelle) | 696 comments I'm at 32% and I love the humor.

message 35: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments Brockmann has another novel coming out this year. I am a little worried as it is in the Fighting Destiny series and it is co-authored with her daughter:

Night Sky (Fighting Destiny #2) by Suzanne Brockmann

message 36: by Leea, Escape Artist (last edited Jan 17, 2014 11:18AM) (new)

Leea | 1437 comments I saw this on FB... Why are you worried?

I tried to look for the first book in the Fighting Destiny series and I can't find it. Do you know the title?

message 37: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments Because I was only meh about the first in the Fighting Destiny series and I am worried about the collaboration affecting her final product. I think it is great that she is helping her kids move forward in their careers, but I just want a great Brockmann book to read.

message 38: by Leea, Escape Artist (new)

Leea | 1437 comments Oh yeah, I get that. I'm itching for another Brokcmann book to read.

message 39: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments I am hopeful though! I love the cover.

Gwennie (blessedwannab) | 1116 comments I wanted to read that, but I remember you saying it was just eh.

message 42: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments A disclosure - I read the print copy and tend not to enjoy print copy as much as ebook.

message 43: by Gwennie, Mrs. Bookworm (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) | 1116 comments Maybe I'll give it a try.
