Keith Hoare (raggedcover) Wouldn’t it be great if you could listen to the text on the web page apart from just reading it? On my updated site I’ve done just that.

Each page has an MP3 sound bar, so you can listen to the page. The speech is very clear and high quality.

I’ve also placed my videos on the site. These are not really the typical video adds, but more an introduction to the book.

I’d love comments as to the approach.

Melissa Peltier (scribemjp) | 2 comments Interesting! Is that a computerized voice? If so, it's one of the best I've heard.

Keith Hoare (raggedcover) Yes you are correct, it is computerised. In fact it's an Aqapela voice with modifications of my own.
I’ve now perfected it even futher to turn one of my books into a talking book.
However, even using it to just read back chapters of current work, shows any errors up immediately. It’s like having an editor sat behind you!

Melissa Peltier (scribemjp) | 2 comments Yes, I always read things aloud in my final final pass. Nothing shows up problems like hearing words read. I "read" a lot of audio books (I listen at the gym and on walks, so I can always be reading at least 2 books at once) and there's something about hearing words read that has a primal impact.

Nina Norstrom | 72 comments Keith,

Wow, yes the speech is very clear and done of high quality. I will say this as well, "Everything you've presented on the page(s) are grandeur!!!

I might have to seek you out once I finish writing my works. And ask that you aid in transforming my project to something of grandeur!

Keith Hoare (raggedcover) Thank you for your comment Ninna. I feel it’s very important to try and present a site, if not to a professional standard, at least a clean and easy to navigate site of your work.

I’d be happy to assist you in building your web site.

Keith Hoare (raggedcover) Mellissa, maybe you would be prepared to receive a download of my audio book, when it is completed? I’d love comments, good or bad, on my computer generated voice.
I can’t afford a human reader and I’d be completely hopeless reading the book myself, but I’d like my books to be available as an audio book.

Nina Norstrom | 72 comments I read the review comment from the trailer site as well. And yes, I too can see a vision with this in the makings of a made for TV film. It is very touching and heartwarming.

Hi Everyone,
i had a wonderful cinema-photographer for my book trailer for my novel Amarok. We filmed it entirely in the wild's of Montana. There are many great people who work in film and are reasonable as far as price to work with. I feel it really pays off in the long run.

Please check it out :)
