Joey Okay, so I totally regret buying the whole series, but I'm told that the last book is at least better than the others, so I'm going to endure it and read them until the end.
But holy crap, wow! This book is NOT good. I'm picking up from some random page, I couldn't even finish a chapter before shutting my eyes and throwing it somewhere in the house, hoping it doesn't show it's (not so) ugly face again (I quite like the cover pictures).
Luce is the most retarded creature I have ever met!
"Oh how I love him"
"Oh how I miss him"
"Oh how I would neever ever think of any other male because you know, I just love him!"
Oh, gag me with a spoon you contradicing witch. Get your tongue out of that kids mouth before preaching your love for Daniel.
Ugh and all he does is stand around ruining a romantic night, quivering his wings before silently leaving and coming back the next chapter, love and lust in his eyes before the whole depressing process begins again.
Please someone tell me I have some reason to have bought these books, that the last one will save me from commiting suicide!

Rachael Awww I love this series. I admit I didn't like Torment very much at all but I continued and I'm so glad I did. The love story I think is amazing and the time span over which it has lasted is just beautiful. I hope you continue and I hope you fall in love with it as I have but if not then maybe it's just not for you...

Tina J Sorry to say, but this series does NOT get any better!
(personal opinion)

Waaah. I'll still read them considering I spent my hard earned money on them and I rarely ever put down a book but bleh! The characters just annoy me to death and have my eyes rolling over something new on every page.

Tina J You should definitely read them, especially since you spent money on them.

I hated Daniel and his perfectness!
Last book took me over a month to read!
I kept making excuses to NOT read it....lol.
Hopefully, you'll be better than me at that.
;D

Vickey Sadly Im in the same boat as I have all the books Im forcing myself to read them and so far I agree that Torment is the worst book Ive ever read. Ive still got Rapture to go so hopefully something will happen. The instant love in Passion angers me.

Joey Surprisingly I've almost finished this book -hurl- aint too bad when it's not revolving around their poor excuse of a relationship. Hasn't stopped me from cringing and/or rolling my eyes at some pages, though, so I'm looking forward to finishing it :/ good luck to my fellow readers who are suffering with this book!

Nuran I found the series to get worse as it progresses.

Hannah Yay someone agrees with me I loved fallen and it just snowballed from there the series went down hill I thought she had some many good ideas but then they didn't lead anywhere and were poorly executed. I'm sorry to say but I don't know how this is being made into a movie

TheDistortedBliss to be honest this series is blah... yawn..blah
If you thought torment was bad...HA passion..gosh it took me forever to finish it. It was so boring and i got tired of following her around.
the last book got interesting at some points but no the whole series is boring to me. The end of Rapture made me annoyed aswell.
Only reason i am ok with having read this series is exactlty that. I read it. I want to read so many books.

Fallen was not bad to me..just after that it got boring

Shruthi This series is amazing and by the way of any of you don't like the series PLEASE don't make such bad comments if say the author read one of your comments she probably would feel offended and that would hurt her feelings so please keep you bad comments to a low. Also I am not only saying because I love the series I am saying it because I think it is true.

It's ok that you feel that way Shruthi but to be honest not everyone is going to like something and authors, designers, artists etc know that not everyone is going to like there work. they expect criticism and if they can't handle it maybe there not in the right profession. Everyone's different but everyone also deserves an opinion which is why this topic is under its own cut and we haven't gone and said how bad it is under someone else's cut that really love the series. we are trying to be respectful of others but clearly stating we don't like the series in the topic name. Hopefully you understand

I can understand where you're coming from, it's not like I haven't loved things that others negatively criticised. Plus, if the author felt offended by my post, then I wonder what she would do if she read the hundreds of other negative comments towards this book, some a lot worse than mine. Don't get me wrong, I loved the first book. I thought it had potential, but to me, it just went down hill from there and bored me to tears.
The author made millions off this book, she's got my hard earned money in her pocked. She isn't going to get offended by these types of comments and/or care.

TheDistortedBliss Yes, i am not trying to be mean there were some things i liked in the books but a lot of the times i noticed i did not want to read the words and just skip them.
:(

Thanks, I understand, sorry if my comment hurt your feelings
Thanks anyway for explaining it to me. You really are a very nice person
Thanks

Lina I personally loved it. I read a lot of bad comments about it, but I guess this is one of those books/series that you either truly love or truly hate. I'm on the loving side and I'll definitely stay there, because yes: I am indeed a sucker for stories like this.

Russelle Anne All I can say is that everyone have a different taste towards what they read. Maybe it's just that some parts of the books are not understandable since we really don't concern ourselves with angels or anything. For me, I liked following series of a book because it gives me much more to imagine than get angry over someone else's work. It should be an inspirationn to everyone to read any book that is worth reading. No book will be published if it really sucks. So every book that is published is worth a dime and time. :)

Passion is seriously REALLY good! There's a lot more depth being explored and it is honestly great! I'm about halfway through and I'm really excited!

Cristina I Personally thought "passion" was the worst book in the series.

Hannah J wrote: "I Personally thought "passion" was the worst book in the series."

Yer sorry I agree

Jacquelyn To each their own. What didnt you like about it, though?

Hannah Jacquelyn wrote: "To each their own. What didnt you like about it, though?"

Yer exactly to each there own! I found it very repetitive and for me it didn't have the same feel as fallen..my review kinda says it all

Mallory I couldn't even finish the last book! Which makes me very mad since I spent the time and money on the series. I loved Fallen, I hated Torment(It was torture), I actually kinda liked Passion (the ending with you know who if you've read it made me so excited for Rapture)Sometimes though the whole going into the past could be VERY boring. OH, and Rapture. I just couldn't take it anymore I was pulling my hair out just to read it because of stupid Daniel and Luce (is that her name?) For example when they have to go search for something under water Daniel goes to a store and buys her goggles, but no swimming suit. Seriously! My other big problem with this series is that every three seconds (in Rapture) they are telling each they love each other. OK, before I make someone really mad. Let me just say that this series just wasn't my cup of coffee (I don't like tea) and if you liked this series then I really glad that you were able to enjoy it. I really wish I could of too.

I wish you could have liked it too! I guess I'm just a sucker for the sweet "I love you's" and the cheesy, however embarrassing it is. It's like my addiction--really stupid plots but still good. (You're talking to someone who watches Secret Life of the American Teenager, not proud of it, but I'll admit to it...) Anyway, I really do wish you would have finished Rapture. It was great! You really get a good understanding of who Daniel is and why he does what he does. Passion was definitely my favorite! Though you are right and some of the lives were a bit draggy I liked the majority of it! :3 I'm sorry you couldn't have enjoyed it more because I thought it really was good! Not profound, but good!

Err, I wouldn't say repetitive so much as teasing. He comes in, leaves, come back, leaves, arguments arguments more arguments. That's what I didn't like. Passion is my favorite, anyway. The second one is always my least favorite.

Amalia Kollarou I've read the first two books and I am not going to spent another euro buying the next. Frankly these books were THE worst books I've picked this year.

Shay Johnston Yes i think that's why Lauren Kate called it Torment.

And at the back of the first book it said i quote:
Can you bear the Torment!
Answer: Is No! I had to stop sometime's and talk to myself in the mirror just to get over how bad it was and then keep on reading the book chanting in my head "DIE! DIE! DIE!" or "DROWN! DROWN! DROWN!"
