Rachel Brand (pixieauthoress) If you have a book that you've been meaning to read and would prefer to read along with a "buddy", post your suggested title here. It might be handy to post a vague time frame (like, I'd like to read this book sometime in May) to help others decide if they want to join in. Once you've found a buddy (or more than one!) feel free to start your own discussion topic in this folder.

Anyone interested in reading Living in Harmony by Mary Ellis? I got it a few months ago when they marked it down for the Kindle and have wanted to read it for awhile. I am thinking of reading it in May.

Oh, that one's been on my reading list for a while, too. I'll join you!

Since we seem to be breezing through our first Buddy Read, I figured I'd suggest a new one.

Would anyone want to read Wild Horses by Linda Byler? I figured we could start in two or three weeks, once we get our current Buddy Read wrapped up.

Oh that's one I have wanted to read, I'll join you.

message 6: by Natalie (new)

Natalie (creativecountry0407gmailcom) | 1130 comments I already have a copy. I'll join.

message 7: by Carole (new)

Carole Jarvis Brittany, I have this book and would like to join in. It's easy for me to get over committed when it comes to doing book reviews, but I want to make time for a fun buddy read if possible.

Great! I'm so happy a few others wanted to read this, along with me! :)

message 9: by Krystaleve (new)

Krystaleve | 52 comments Count me in. Wild Horses is $ 1.99 via Kindle.

message 10: by Carole (new)

Carole Jarvis Welcome, Krystaleve! I was glad to find it at that price, too.

message 11: by Krystaleve (new)

Krystaleve | 52 comments Thank you, Carole. It will be fun to read about horses.

Several people have told me they are interested in doing another buddy read for the sequel to Living in Harmony. Anyone interested in doing that?

The book is Love Comes to Paradise by Mary Ellis

message 13: by Krystaleve (new)

Krystaleve | 52 comments Count me in. I am also participating in the wild horses couldn't read.

message 14: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 340 comments Mod
I am, if I can find a copy at the library. I'll be sure to let you know.

message 15: by Krystaleve (new)

Krystaleve | 52 comments Sorry about the typo. I accidentally pushed the done button. I am participating in the Wild Horses group read as well. I will do my best to keep up with the reading for both books.

I am more excited about reading Love Comes to Paradise, since we just finished book one.

message 16: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 127 comments I have Wild Horses at home waiting TBR, so I would join in that. I also went ahead and started Love Comes to Paradise, so I'd enjoy discussing it.

So when does everyone want to start Love Comes to Paradise? I thought we were reading Wild Horses on the 1st?

message 18: by Rosebud (new)

Rosebud (amishchristianromances) | 44 comments Count me in, too. Will be reading Wild Horses and then Love Comes to Paradise.

Actually, I'm currently reading Amish Faith by Sarah Price (just started) I can continue reading it after these two books. Anyone who wants to read Amish Faith with me after Wild Horses and Love Comes to Paradise? :D

message 19: by Carole (new)

Carole Jarvis I thought Wild Horses was our next read also, Lorie. I'm just waiting for Brittany to set a start date.

Reading Wild Horses on June 1st sounds good to me. Does that work well for the rest of you?

That works for me Brittany do we want to try the two week thing this time? What does everyone else think? I thought our last read was so good I just could not stop reading to read a month?!

message 22: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 340 comments Mod
Lol! That's what I was thinking as well. Two weeks might work a little better...

message 23: by Krystaleve (new)

Krystaleve | 52 comments Two weeks works for me.

message 24: by Carole (new)

Carole Jarvis June 1 works fine for me, Brittany. It's been a while since I've read an Amish book, so I'm looking forward to reading Wild Horses and discovering a new author.

I have not read this author either Carole, someone said her other series was a lot like Little House on the Prairie! Looking forward to reading her too.

Little House on the Prairie is a good way to describe Linda Byler's writing! I haven't read this one, so it'll be interesting to read everyone's thoughts.

message 27: by Natalie (new)

Natalie (creativecountry0407gmailcom) | 1130 comments How about doing a buddy read for Rosemary Opens her Heart by Naomi King once the current one is finished? I've already read it, but it might make a good discussion.

message 28: by Natalie (new)

Natalie (creativecountry0407gmailcom) | 1130 comments Sorry all: I am still trying to figure out where my copy is so I won't be reading it qith you.

There are actually two books people are looking for buddies to read. I wanted to list them again here because I think they got lost.

Rosebud wants to read: Amish Faith by Sarah Price

and

Natalie wants to read: Rosemary Opens Her Heart by Naomi King

Anyone interested in either book?

Anyone interested in a buddy read for July?

I would be, but they're not available at my library. :(

Do you got something else in mind Brittany?

message 34: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 340 comments Mod
I'm up for just about anything as long as its at my library. Do you have anything you're itching to read? I've been wanting to read Leah's Choice by Marta Perry, Sarah's Garden by Kelly Long, and Rebecca's Rose by Jennifer Beckstrand. Those are just the ones on my bookshelf that have been gathering dust, lol.

message 35: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 127 comments I second Leahs Choice.

message 36: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 340 comments Mod
Is anyone else besides Melissa and I up for Leah's Choice?

If not, we can always Buddy Read it with just the two of us, Melissa. :)

message 37: by Lorie (new)

Lorie | 1324 comments Mod
I do not have Leah's Choice, I've read Sarah's Garden(GREAT!), I do have Rebecca's Rose though.

My library is closed the next two days so I will have to wait and check if I can find Leah's Choice, that one looks good!

A Season for Tending by Cindy Woodsmall, this is the one I am wanting to read. I am #2 on the waiting list for the e-book from the library.

message 40: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 340 comments Mod
Great, then maybe we can read Leah's Choice after the holidays?

Also, A Season for Tending is amazing! It's my favorite series by Woodsmall and probably one of my all-time favorite Amish read, too - which is definitely saying something!

Do you need to read book 1 before book 2? I have waited on both for a long time fore my library e-book and book 2 came in first.

message 42: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 340 comments Mod
Yes, I would definitely read the first one first. You wouldn't HAVE to, but you'll be thrown right into the plot that the first book built up to.

Brittany, have you read Levi's Will by W. Dale Cramer? That is another one on my list.

message 44: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 340 comments Mod
Actually, I haven't read anything by Dale Cramer and I've been meaning to! This one sounds pretty good! I'll see if its at my library.

Rachel Lorie wrote: "Brittany, have you read Levi's Will by W. Dale Cramer? That is another one on my list."

I've read that one and its sequels. I wasn't too impressed, but they were okay.

I went to the library this morning and checked out Leah's Choice and Rachel's Garden So I am ready whenever you all are.

I think Rachel's Garden is the sequel to Leah's Choice so we better read Leah's Choice first. I think you might of thought I meant Sarah's Garden. I already read that one. I LOVED it!

message 49: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 340 comments Mod
Alright! I look forward to reading it! I'm right in the middle of one book, so it might be a day or two before I can start Leah's Choice, but feel free to read a little ahead of me. :)
