Natasha ran in and sat down at a desk, sighing. She put earphones in and played classical music while actually doing math equations.

Natasha noticed him and rested her head on the desk, the classical music still playing in her ears.
Her fingers wrapped around his and she squeezed his hand in return.
Her head rested on the desk, her eyes closed. A single tear ran down her cheek. Still she listened to the music.
She was limp in his arms. She took out the earphones. "Я не заслуживаю тебя," she whispered.
((I do not deserve you))
((I do not deserve you))
"I kissed your best friend right in front of you... more than once," she whispered. "I don't."
"You deserve someone better," Natasha whispered. "Because when I'm like that, my heart goes to him. You need someone better than me."
"Yes, yes you do," Natasha said. "When people think of America, they proudly think of you. You deserve someone who will ever be loyal and true, not a psychotic killer like me."
She pulled away and looked down. "Steve, I said this before, I don't want to hurt you."
"When I hurt you, you will," she said. "I don't want to hurt you."
"I love you with all that I am," Natasha whispered. "But Natalia will break you."
"Because I changed today, the changes will come more often," Natasha said. "Kind of like our James."
"I can't control it," she whispered.
"I am a killer, Steve, and always will be," Tasha said. "My daughter is a killer too." She then closed her eyes, remembering that she hadn't mentioned having a daughter.
She put her head on the desk. "You'll have to meet her when she gets back from Russia. She is exactly like me... just blond."
She sighed. "And a killer like me."
"See, even you agree I am a killer," she whispered. "A cold hearted killer."
((night))
"No, I didn't," she whispered. "I am a cold hearted killer."
"No, I didn't," she whispered. "I am a cold hearted killer."
"Yes, I am," Natasha said. "You know it, my kid knows it, Clint knows it, James knows it." She shook her head slowly.

Natasha wasn't listening, zoned out.

Natasha looked up at Jax and stood, putting a hand on her shoulder. "You did the right thing," she said softly. She was out of her gloominess.

Natasha sat back down. "We'll take HYDRA down," she said. "The Avengers and SHIELD field agents."
