Juvenile Court Book Club discussion

This book has a very high rating and I am hoping it will be a great historical fiction selection. I will let everyone know once I finish!

I actually have a copy...it must have been recommended to me somehow. It's in letter form, but it is fiction. Looking forward to hearing your opinion on it and thanks for the prereading!

Alright, I am half-way through and I think it is too dense for the girls. It's written as diary entries by an uneducated settler in the Arizona territories. At 416 pages, I think it would be cumbersome to get through in a month.

I do love that it features a strong, independent woman who gets into gun battles with Indians and pioneers. I found the love story a little too sentimental but the girls usually like that.
