I was rereading Heat Wave and I started to wonder if anyone ever kept track of the references to the cast, crew, or show.

I noticed three today and I know there were more.

1. Marlowe Building - p.21
2. Bree Flax, a true crime writer (Lee Wax in "Ghosts")- p.21
3. Nikki's speech on needing real facts - p.17
Any others?

Found a few more.
4. After Kimberly has work done, "'If they're holding it on The Island of Doctor Moreau.' She didn't like herself for it but she laughed. It only encouraged him. 'Or if she's doing a remake of the elephant Man.' Rook took guttural breaths and slurred, 'I am not a suspect, I am a human being.'"

Castle and Beckett have the same conversation in "A Death in the Family." - p. 51

5. "Stay in the car, I mean it" - p. 53

6. Rook teases Nikki over the line "Go ahead." Castle teases Beckett in "Home is Where the Heart Stops," "That, uh, "Go ahead. I need the practice." That was classic."- p.54 and again on p. 131

7. p.57-58 Ochoa and Raley go through their names for suspects.

8. p.105 You have no idea.
