I read the first few books and really loved them!

message 7: by Barbara (new)

Barbara (willcaxton) I don't often read series, but I've read all the Cadfael books, and the Laura Ingalls Wilder "Little House..." series. Oh, and I intend to read all of Susan Hill's "Simon Serrailler" books, though I'm reading them in the wrong order, having come across Book 3 first.

message 8: by Annina (new)

Annina Harry Potter of course.

Hunger Games seems good, but have read only the first book, so can't say it yet. :D

Jenny (jennyc89) Honestly I have to go with Michael J. Sullivan's Riyria Revelations. 5 stars all around. This was a surprisingly amazing fantasy series. The prequel comes out this August, I can't wait!

message 17: by MK (new)

MK (wisny) | 2579 comments I think, by definition, if you read a series, you like it a bunch ;-). That being said, I'd have a hard time picking a favorite. I've read a few mentioned here. I guess at the moment, I absolutely adore Debora Geary's Modern Witch/Witchlight/Witch Central series.

It started as A Modern Witch series, and keeps branching and growing. She is still currently producing it. Them. Whichever ;-). I absolutely LOVE the world and characters she's created.

message 18: by Tammy (new)

Tammy Bleile | 2 comments My favorite is The First Americans series written by Wm Saraband. If you like early american books, these are great. The first four in the series are my favorite and are of one family who become legends in the follow up books. These are quite barbaric in nature. I was surprised to learn after reading the 10th book these were written by a woman using a surname-Joan Lesley Hamilton Cline.

message 19: by Vincent (new)

Vincent Rivas-Flores Without a doubt, the answer is Scott Pilgrim.

Audrey (audreylpl) | 4 comments Neal Stephenson - The Baroque Cycle, and throw Cryptonomicon into the mix as well. What a trip, with characters that stay with you for a long time.

I did like Det är Lotta, förstås! and Tiina series as a kid but I didn't think of them as series, the same with Sherlock Holmes.

But is that a series? I have always just thought that it is just one novel in three volumes.

I thought the same thing...that it isn't truly a series. But others went with it.

If you want a true series, I have to go with the Dirk Pitt series by Clive Cussler. It's a sort of guilty indulgence...great airplane read.
