Summer (wildskf) I believe in ghosts. I think a lot of folks here in the Texas Panhandle believe in them too. I don't think it's weird; every now and then there's a historical graveyard tour out here that is fun to take and I've been to a few ghost hunts out at the museum.

If you ever visit the Panhandle Plains Historical Museum in Canyon TX, you should ask some of the curators to tell you the local ghost legends they've heard. Some of them are quite entertaining.

Heidi Angell (heidiangell) Yeah, well I think cheerleaders are weird. Anything different from a person's norm is weird to that person! The first time I took my husband to an anime con he felt weird because he was the only one not dressed up, but when I was trying to get him to dress up, he was worried that it would be "weird" because we are too old for that ;)
All in perspective!

PS, paranormal is fun because it IS weird!

Dude, I felt the exact same way when I went to my first anime convention, lol!

@Summer haha I want to go to one!!!"

You were a cheerleader? That's cool. Cheerleaders at my college were tight with us band kids :)

Anime conventions are so much fun. What's even better is that the public library is hosting our SECOND anime/comics/steampunk convention this year! AMA-CON 2013!

... and I'm talking with Pokemon International to see if there can be an official Pokemon handheld tournament there. I can die happy now ;u;

message 7: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Angell (heidiangell) Jessy, I was teasing! I know you used to be a cheerleader!

Cons are absolutely awesome! I'm so excited to be going to Geexcon in SLC in September! I'm even gonna have a booth and sell stuff for my books. (Actually kinda bummed about that, because I'd much rather be walking around, but some of my friends are gonna help me run it, so we will all get to take turns walking around too!)

When I get angry, I think about a T-rex making a bed... or a duck riding a tricycle... or honeybees wearing hats. Those things make me laugh and I feel better, lol.

I'm glad :)

Has anyone here read The Love Curse of the Rumbaughs ? Creepiest book I've read in a while with a paranormal sort of element to it. It's got cult classic status here at the public library. ALL the staff has read it.

Summer (wildskf) It's a funny little book. You either really like it or really hate it. I'd recommend it.

ϟEvelynϟ (paralynperea) | 128 comments I really love books about addiction and drugs and stuff. Like the Ellen Hopkins novels. Those really intrigue me. Maybe it's a little weird for a 13 year-old girl.

ϟEvelynϟ (paralynperea) | 128 comments I do too. I just really don't want to get into their business and privacy. When I feel really bad, I don't want people to tell me if I need help or if I wanna talk about it. I like helping people feel better over the Internet, it's just that sometimes people need their space.

Talking about ghosts, magic(k) etc.

What about you?

I don't think it's weird, but been called weird when I mention that I think it's cool."

Neato, me too! Do you like the Paranormal Activity movies?

message 18: by An (new)

An My semi-weird interest is abortion. I am a passionate anti-abortion, pro-woman feminist, and so any and all abortion movies, books, documentaries, articles, etc.--I'm on them.

message 19: by Ni (new)

Ni (ghosty144) | 6 comments Some of my frinds are LGBT, so I support it even thought I am not a lesbian or anything myself. It's not really "weird" to support something even though it doesn't apply to you. :)

Julia, dude call me JJ I've never really though about it, so I won't say "yes" but I won't say "No".

How can you be pro-woman and anti-abortion? Being anti-abortion means NOT giving woman a choice on what they want to do with their body. I strongly disagree with anti-abortion. If someone gets raped, one horrible deed has already happened to her, and then random people are going to decide what SHE does with a fetus that she doesn't want?!? It's HER body, not theirs. Other people's believes shouldn't affect her, because she doesn't believe in them. She can do whatever she wants with herself; people shouldn't have say in her life.

Arya (aryasreadings) I find a lot of "weird" things intriguing, but can't really mention most of them.
I really am interested in magic, and would love to learn some, but magic is forbidden in my religion. Well, at least, black magic is. So, I want to learn "white magic," which does exist. I mean, how cool would it be to do random things?

My uncle can do things like that. He learned them from some kind of witch coven he went to somewhere. They actually tried to trap him there, but he managed to escape. He learned a few things from them and the one thing he used to always show-off when asked, was making a leaf dance. He did it with this leaf that is very famous in his country.
