And my favorite mythological creature would have to be either Pegasus or a Phoenix. :)
I love the Phoenix but I already have the first one in this series so I'm good just thought I would add my comment

I'd like to enter. My favourite mythological characters are Phoenix (coz of d whole 'rising from their ashes' thing), Pegasus (coz they're loyal and beautiful) and Dragons (coz they're fierce and fiery and well, popular choice!) ;) :D

Ah yes, Athena. She is also a favorite of mine, being the only goddesses of strategy. However, no gods make an appearance in the World of Myth series.
There are, though, famous careers such as knights, pirates, gunslingers, & samurai that have been elevated to mythological status. Any favorites there?

I'm not entering. I just wanted to let everyone know that I have read the first book, and I'm about 1/3 of the way through the second book, and I highly recommend them. They are great books and a joy to read.My favorite mythological creature has varied over the years, but is usually the obscure creatures, like the greek sphinx. Currently, I'm quite partial to griffins, though that is probably one of the main characters of my book is a griffin.

Me too me too!And I love dragons. They sometimes are these super cool villains, sometimes they are protectors of some sort, sometimes they are good, and maybe even gods and goddesses themselves. And not just that, but thanks to Eragon series, I'm really interested in dragons and their riders!
