Victoria Zigler (toriz) | 611 comments Beautiful... Until you spoiled the illusion by telling us the questions weren't forged in the high mountains and delivered by angels after all!

And there I was imagining an angel workshop where forged questions are packaged for delivery, and answers are only a meditation away...

I am not that kinda person, who has certain books for certain occasions... so either, books that I have already read or books that I Want to read.. though I wouldn't want to read a depressing book on holiday -_-

1. Favourite fiction Genre? Fantasy and sci-fi of the various kinds. Usually I prefer it with a romance subplot.

2. What books would you take on holiday? Choosing which books to take on holiday with me involves standing in front of my bookcase for a long period of time until three or four of them catch my interest. Or it did. Now I just grab the Kindle!

message 21: by Victoria (new)

Victoria Zigler (toriz) | 611 comments 3. I don't read on the beach. I'm too interested in listening to the sound of the waves and seagulls, or splashing about in the sea, or building sand castles. What? Grown-ups can build sandcastles too!

message 22: by Jeshu (new)

Jeshu (jeshusauria) 3. I don't read on the beach either... actually, I never go to the beach unless is strictly necessary XD!

3 What's a nice, relaxing book for the beach?

I also don't read at the beach. I cycle there and home, so the time I'm at the beach I spend enjoying an ice cream, not a book. ;)

message 27: by Becky (new)

Becky (cookiecat) | 31 comments 3. What’s a nice relaxing book for the beach? I don't really read when I go to the beach but I think if I had to choose a book, it'd be some form of romantic manga :)

4. Has a book ever made you want to go on holiday?

once, i was reading a book that talked about a couple things that apparently happened in france (wasn't real of course) but it gave me an urge to go over there.

message 29: by Victoria (new)

Victoria Zigler (toriz) | 611 comments 4. Not really. Mind you, most of what I read is usually set in made up places, and it would be quite tricky to visit those, LOL!

Olga Godim (olgagodim) | 51 comments 4. Has a book ever made you want to go on holiday?

Oh, yeah. Paris in Love This is a memoir of the famous romance writer Eloisa James. She spent a year in Paris, and as I read it, I wanted to go there and retrace her steps. Paris through the eyes of a romance writer - what could be better. A delicious book.

message 34: by Jeshu (new)

Jeshu (jeshusauria) 3. Yes, to middle earth and the uk :D

message 35: by Victoria (new)

Victoria Zigler (toriz) | 611 comments 5. I've read a few strange books, though most of them made sense by the end (once I stopped to think about them) or were strange because of all the unusual things in them (like "Alice in Wonderland" and "Phoenix Watching"). I read one called "Sweet And Sour Pork" earlier this year though, which was meant to be an alternative of "The Three Little Pigs" but which made no sense to me. It might have been because I can't see the pictures, but it was just strange and confusing from my point of view, and all I could think at the end was, "that was weird!"

Fiona (Titch) Hunt (titch) 1. Favourite fiction Genre? All sorts don't really have a favourite anymore.

2. What books would you take on holiday? Depends on what I am reading, but this year I am taking Kindle, so depends on what mood I am in

3. What’s a nice relaxing book for the beach? Depends, it could be a Mystery/Thriller novel or it can a YA or even a Chick Lit novel

4. Has a book ever made you want to go on holiday? Some have, I'd love to go to France or Italy so far

5. Strangest book you have ever read? Not sure, I've read any lol

message 38: by Becky (new)

Becky (cookiecat) | 31 comments 5. Strangest book you have ever read? Fifty Shades Of Gray.....
One of my friends dared me to read the whole book and I wish I hadn't!

message 39: by Jeshu (new)

Jeshu (jeshusauria) 5. I can't think of any book that i'd consider as strange... do graphic novel counts? Because I'm reading The Sandman by Neil Gaiman and that IS VERY STRANGE.

message 40: by Rea, Ghost (new)

Rea | 1992 comments Mod
5. L'Ecume des Jours by Boris Vian. It was seriously weird and that was made even worse by the fact that my French wasn't really strong enough to follow the story properly at the time.

I love Dobby from the Harry Potter series, Aslan from the Chronicles Of Narnia series, the Cheshire Cat from Alice In Wonderland, Sarah from A Little Princess, Mr. Wonka from Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, and so on. Really you'd have to pick a book or series I've read and ask me who my favourite character from that book or series is if you want just one character to be named.

Victoria Zigler (toriz) | 611 comments 7. There have been several, so I'm not sure which to mention. Hmmm... Let me think... "A Sock Full Of Pennies" grabbed my attention because of the title (turned out to be a pretty good read too) and so did "The Troll Trap" (another good read). There are others, some of which I've grabbed but not yet read, but those two will do.

message 50: by Becky (new)

Becky (cookiecat) | 31 comments 7. What book title has drawn you in this year? Legend by Marie Lu :)
