Goodreads recommendations, advertisements, word of mouth...how did you find out about your favorite books?

word of mouth, the NEW section of the library, goodreads lists, goodreads ads, and goodreads in general.

People either told me about the book. I picked it up by mistake and read the summary. Read the first page or looked at the front cover of the book.

GOODREADS!!! I just love this site. Without it I would've missed too many great books. :*

I knew about this website but i had no idea that it was so addicting.

I stumbled across it one day when I was surfing... the net.

Yeah me too. That happened to me yesterday.

Me too! It took me a while to understand why exactly it is, though.

Yeah, and i was on ths website once before too, to look at a book i wanted.

The way I find books to read is by walking around the library's fiction section until something catches my attention.

I do that too or i pick random books off the shelves and read the summaries.

I follow some reviewer's blogs, check out the YA and specific genre pages on Barnes and Nobles' website, find interesting books with great covers and summaries online, and just browse Goodreads lists of releases by the month.

I discovered my favourite series of all time, Harry Potter, from the movies XD

I discovered my favourite book when my sibling said
"DON"T READ THIS BOOK" and then my love for Tobias began (Divergent)

I picked up on the series and found a love of one of the characters, then found his book

I dont have a lot of friends who read as much as I do, so I usually go to the book store and browse around. Most of the time the popular books are displayed. Also, I have to read the book before the movie comes out once I see the trailer I look to see if there is a book.

I only have one friend who loves to read. Shes introduced me to a few series. I mostly just find books at the library or bookstore and try them.

Amazon is where I find all my books for my kindle of course. Amazon <
Then there is browsing through book shops and good reads is a great place to find new books.

I have gotten pretty lucky wandering around my library and picking up random books honestly! My mom also always has perfect suggestions!! :)

Goodreads is how I found my favorite book and then later my favorite author.

Same here, my friend told me to go here for books, I decided to make an account and I LOVE IT!! I found out about my fav books by family, friends, accident, etc.

My favorite book of all time is The Book Thief. And I'd been meaning to read it for years, but I actually waited since I knew that we read it freshman year at my school. So I read it for school I guess, but I was going to read it anyways :)

I usually spend a lot of time in Barnes and Noble, and usually find books by looking at the "Must-Read Teen" section or by looking at the New Books section!

I usually find out about a lot of my books through social media! I actually promote my book through social media too. Here is the pitch that I use:

I discover most of my favorite books through social media believe it or not! I also promote my own book through social media as well. Here is the paragraph I usually post to spread word about my book:
