Young Adult Historical Fiction discussion

I am the author of Secrets of the Realm, which is available on Amazon, iBookstore, Barnes & Noble, and an audio version will be coming out in late August. It is a tale about fifteen-year-old Annie living in 18th century England. After being blamed for her uncle's death, she flees to London where she knows it is dangerous to be an unescorted female.

Posing as a boy, she becomes cabin boy on the merchant ship, the Realm. Her already complicated life becomes even more complicated as she works alongside the motley crew of outcasts and gentlemen.

Despite enduring the same hardships as her fellow shipmates, Annie vows she will never leave the Realm where dreams are chased, shattered lives can mend, and secrets are stowed like keepsakes in an old desk drawer. But when Annie's past catches up with her, Annie's life changes course once more.

The audio book of is now available on iTunes, Audible.com, and Amazon.com. The narrator is Anne Day-Jones.

Hi All - has been re-released on Kindle, Nook, Kobo, and iBooks with a new cover. The paperback version has also been re-released, but it will take a few days for it to go through the proofing process.

The audio book was done through ACX at www.acx.com. We posted an audition script from the book on the site and the narrators on the site auditioned and we picked one to work with. You can either pay them outright or you can do a royalty split deal if they are willing.

I purchased the Whispersync combo of this book and really enjoyed the story! I ended up listening to the last half of the book because I was so captivated by Anne Day-Jones' narration. Well worth listening to!

I have put the ebook versions at Amazon, B&N, Kobo, and iBooks on sale for $0.99 through January 2014 in honor of being selected as the group read of the month for January 2014.
