Megan I'm one of those people who believe the title has to correspond with the novel. When sometimes, it's just the name of a book! Anyways, why do you think it was titled that?

Because Lucas was easy to love? Because he easily fell in love with her? Or is it kind of satire? It wasn't easy for her to come to a school she didn't like just to be broken up with, almost get raped, etc?

Or, was there just no connection at all? And that was the title of the book? I read the book last year so I can't remember if there was a line that featured the title.

Sunny LOL... well.. I'm in your boat as well. I remember I did enjoy the book but wasn't one that stuck with me.

Huh.. I never gave too much thought about the title either. Hope someone let's us in on it bc now that that questions been thrown out there I'm actually quite curious now.

it was in the last line... when Lucas said is 'easy' for him to make the decision to work near Jacqueline's university... but anyway, i still think the title doesn't connect with the overall story.

LOL! Sunny, I never thought much about the title either. Now that the question has been posed...wonder what the answer is?

Very thought provoking question, Megan!

Joanne It was easy to choose to be with someone you love...

Gemma “Choosing to be with you isn't a difficult decision, Jacqueline,” he breathed, pulling back one final time to stare into my eyes. “It’s easy. Incredibly easy.” :)

Tammara The truth is a lot less complicated and more embarrassing than the guesses here. I titled the book, hired a cover designer, had a cover reveal... and then removed part of the story. I was planning on focusing more on Buck's rumors about Jacqueline (that she was "easy"), but as I wrote and revised, I realized that that part of the story detracted from what I wanted to focus on, so I cut most of it. By that point, I was within weeks of publication and couldn't change it. The part at the end was my way of Lucas turning that negative connotation around; I hoped that would be good enough to explain it. Obviously not so in all cases - sorry for the confusion. :)

I just read this the other day and loved this book. I kept wondering about the title until I read the last line so I think you did a great job tying it all end

Tammara Thanks, Michelle. :) You can see some remnants of my original intent if you look closely (Erin and Maggie asking her if she'd hooked up with him, Kennedy's comments about what he'd told everyone), but I stripped the rest of those parts out, so I was left with the few comments of her friends and ex and what Lucas says at the very end. It's a bit hair-pulling to get this stuff exactly right, lol.
