Brit Malorie (britmalorie) | 2 comments Hi,

I'm interested in reviewers. I'd love for you to take a look at my first novel, Vita Maglia, a mix of science and adventure.
Synopsis:
Zander Grace never believed in his father's insane scientific experiments, but then he discovers the truth: a new dimension that lies beneath our five senses, the source of our deepest emotions and closest relationships. A place of incredible danger, where millions of lives are caught in an eternal war we can't see.
But another man searches for the discovery. Lynch Katlan is a psychopath beyond mercy or compassion. Tearing through blood and bone, he won't stop until he finds the route to a vulnerable new world.
Similar to The Passage, this book combines rich spirituality with the thrill of an adventure story. From the first page, the reader is nearly devoured by an island paradise that's not what it seems, then pulled even further into a scientific discovery that questions the very nature of the human soul.

Let me know if you're interested and I can pass along a PDF copy.
Thanks,
Brit

Kyoko M. (kyokominamino) | 5 comments My book, The Black Parade, has been out for six months, but I'm preparing a short story collection and the sequel for publication. I'd like to try and beef up the first novel's numbers because it's going to go down to .99 cents once the collection comes out, and then perma-free when the sequel hits. I offer free copies in exchange for honest reviews, so hit me at theblackparadeseries@gmail.com for your copy if you're interested.

V.C. Archerly | 4 comments Hello, I'd love some reviewers are my new book "An Involuntary Spark" which is a new adult/interracial romance novel.

Here's a bit about it below:

"An Involuntary Spark" is book #1 in the Summerhouse Series.

Amiira Barnes needs a fresh start. Too much in her life is unraveling at a steady pace and she can't seem to catch her breath or proper footing. She is beautiful, tenacious, witty and honest, and some of those qualities are tested as she deals with a recent breakup from a man who was hiding a damaging secret.

Amiira embarks on a journey as she takes up residence at a summerhouse nearby, as a home away from home, for the weekends. She is sure it is just want she needs to get her mind off of her tumultuous mess of a life. Will that summerhouse, and the people in it, help her or provide even more complications?

A wild mix of emotions, twists, chemistry, longing, and uncertainty, "An Involuntary Spark" is the quintessential summer read, and the first book in the Summerhouse Series. Amiira will be faced with many obstacles and choices. Stay tuned to find out whether she will trust herself, deny connections or slip deeply into self loathing.

Jessica Crawford Hi everyone! I am a new indie author, just published my first novel. I would love it if anyone would be willing to read it and write a review.

The Sentient, Book I of The Sentient Prophecy, is available as a paperback and for the kindle. It's light paranormal/sci-fi, with elements of mystery and romance.

The Sentient (Book I of The Sentient Prophecy) by Jessica Crawford

When a patient at the birth center begs her to take her baby and keep him safe, Anna finds herself swept up into the affairs of the mysterious Dorn family. The Dorns belong to the Sentient, a clandestine group whose study of alchemy has granted them near-immortality, along with other powers.

Anna finds herself at the mercy of the Dorns. The patriarch's health is rapidly deteriorating even though his kind can supposedly never fall ill. The daughter has borne a child to a human man in spite of the prophecy foretelling that such a half-breed will bring about the end of life as the Sentient know it. The sexy younger son can be just as infuriating as he is charming, and the older son thinks Anna knows too much and should be silenced.

When her world collides with theirs, nothing will ever be quite the same for Anna, or for the Sentient.

You can find it here: The Sentient on amazon The kindle version will be FREE from May 17th to May 20th. Happy reading!

I'd like to offer copies of my debut novel for review on Amazon and/or here on Goodreads. I can send mobi, epub and PDF to any interested reviewers. Even though I'm gifting my book, please do not share it with others.

EverKnight by J.L. Louw
EverKnight:
Many ages have passed since the Era of Darkness, the turning point of human extinction. Memory barely recalls the time of power, an age when humans wielded spectacular abilities to fight back against the beasts, but that power has slowly faded with time.

Yet humanity struggles onward. Incandents--brilliant individuals without equal--started crafting magnificent devices fueled by the dwindling arcane energies inside every human being.

Young Leo Pryde stands on the edge of the coming conflict. Joining the Rangers, soldiers in The Sovereign's service, will lead Leo beyond the walls of Sanctuary and into a deathly onslaught against forces far greater than his people. Even if he is intent on the fight. He needs to fight if he is to survive against a world that is ever changing. The old forces stir.

Andrea Dalling (andreadalling) | 3 comments Hi everyone! I'm offering free review copies of the first two books in my Second Chances erotic romance series. Send me a message and I'll email you a copy in PDF or MOBI format, in return for a text review on Goodreads and Amazon. You must be eighteen or over to request these books.

I'm a professional writer and fiction editor, and these books have been critiqued and professionally edited.

Seducing Jordan (Second Chances #1) by Andrea Dalling
Princeton-bound Jordan Callahan is done pining over his straight best friend Rick. He can’t wait for college so he can scope out a man to drive away his pointless crush. Alone on a camping trip just weeks before the semester starts, Rick confesses he’s been fantasizing about Jordan. With his secret wish within his grasp, Jordan is torn between lust and good judgment. Sex will change their relationship forever, and giving in could cost him his oldest friend.

Handling Cynthia (Second Chances #2) by Andrea Dalling
Cynthia Darlington can't forget how Trent Weber kissed her before they left for college—backed up against her Mustang, wrists firm in his grip, her body yielding to his desire. Now, five years later, she seeks him out at their class reunion, newly aware of her submissive nature, and hungering for his dominance. With so much time and distance between them, he's practically a stranger now. Giving herself to Trent could be the culmination of all her hopes—or a teenage fantasy gone horribly wrong.

Deena Schoenfeldt (deenarae) | 7 comments A group of authors, indie-publishing professionals, reviewers, bloggers and readers have gotten together to form the Badass Book Society. The purpose of this group is to promote better books for a more enjoyable reading experience for readers. In other words, 'The ingenious solution to literary pollution'.

Currently, the group has beta readers and reviewers but are always on the lookout for even more readers who want to help authors provide the best possible books. If you are interested in being part of this, sign ups for the newsletter with a listing of the books and manuscripts available is at http://eepurl.com/bmDwjL. In most cases books are available through Instafreebie but specific titles can be sent directly to a Kindle reading app from the Society.

Why should you consider becoming a reader for Badass Book Society? Mainly because your love of reading, but also because each book read entitles you to an monthly drawing for either a $20 Amazon gift card or Paypal cash, funded by the Society, not the authors. Each book read and subsequently reviewed on either blog, website or retailer is eligible for its own entry so conceivably one book can mean 1, 2, 3, or even more entry points.

What you should know about the process:

■ Books are available through Instafreebie.
■ Newsletters are sent out listing each book available, the description and each of the links for ease in leaving a review online.
■ Each title will only be available for a limited time.
■ Authors will not have access to your name or email unless you choose to contact them - if they have a question regarding your notes they will contact the Society and the Society will pass the question on to you, then you can reply to them or to the Society who will pass your answer on.
■ Reviews and notes regarding the book (as well as the links to the various reviews online) can be entered into an online form or emailed to Badass Book Society.
■ Each verified online review is awarded an additional entry in the monthly drawing (done the first weekend of the month).
■Badass Book Society funds the monthly drawing, not the author.

Are you an author, reader or publishing professional and would like more information about Badass Book Society? Sign up at http://eepurl.com/bmKVNv to find out about membership, services, promotional opportunities, and advertising available.

Daulton Dickey (ddickey) | 1 comments Hello,

I'm looking for reviewers for my experimental novella, Elegiac Machinations. If you're interested, I'll send you a PDF.

About the book:

Reality is a product of perception. To alter reality, we must alter our perception. But how? Our unnamed narrator explores this question and attempts to unravel the mystery in this experimental novella, a non-linear, surreal trip through consciousness—and beyond.

Embracing the street art mythos, the narrator plasters an unnamed city with symbols meant to open up awareness—awareness of consciousness, of reality; reality as it is, not how people perceive it. But he lives in a world in which corporations, government, and technology have transformed people into mindless automatons. People move without thinking, follow without thinking, work and live and dream without thinking—and they don't realize they're shackled in a continent-sized prison.

To change people, our narrator has to wake them up; he has to make them aware of their shackles. Can he use stencils and spray paint to wake them? Can art still thrive in a culture populated by drones?

Part philosophical meditation, part surrealism and literary cubism, Elegiac Machinations is unlike anything you've read. It's a haunting exploration of what it means to be alive, a meditation on the nature of reality and art, and on paying attention in a world dominated by routine and distractions.

Truth Evolves applies evolutionary theory to problems of knowledge and ethics. Drawing upon the insights of philosophers, scientists, linguists, and others, I trace the evolution of mind and language, showing how this evolution frames our understanding of important philosophical issues like the nature of beauty, goodness, and truth. If you are interested in philosophy, evolution, art, religion, politics, and morality, you'll love Truth Evolves, the book Kirkus calls "an accessible, enlightening rumination on the nature of truth."

Rachael Hannah | 2 comments Hi! I recently published my first novel, Painting Sage, last May and I'm looking for some honest reviews of my work. It can be purchased here: http://amzn.to/2qv3IaZ

Amazon description as follows:

She almost didn’t make it. Fifteen-year-old Sage was close to death, and now she’s been confined to a rehab facility deep in the Connecticut woods, as far from her old life as she could have imagined. But the problems she faces have come with her—and now her mother, Julia, must decide what to do next.

As Sage begins treatment for bipolar disorder, Julia continues an exhausting internal debate about how they reached such a low point. Are Sage’s depressive episodes due to genetics, or is her parenting to blame? The increasing unreliability of Sage’s father, Mike, hasn’t helped either. Sage can tell his focus is elsewhere.

After her release back to high school, Sage still struggles to overcome the adversity she faces. Her unfair expulsion adds further frustration for both mother and daughter—so much so that Sage is tempted to run away.

A profound tale of what it means to live with mental illness, Painting Sage illustrates the whole person behind the struggle. Sage’s challenges will continue—and she must learn how to build a life she loves in spite of them.

Thanks!
Rachael

J.H. Carnathan | 3 comments Needing reviews! :)

http://www.jhcarnathan.weebly.com/

When his watch resets to zero, his morning starts again. A handsome, young urban professional awakens inside his cavernous high-rise apartment. He is an emotionless drone of a man content with his self-structured regiment and amazing wealth, and he is totally oblivious to his abnormal lifestyle. Every day lasts an hour with the time always ending right at 60 minutes, giving him only 5 minutes to stay at one specific time zone in his structured routine. He keeps reliving the same day over and over, barely able to remember anything from the day before and unable to maintain mental order as he stumbles through his strange existence.

One day, his routine is interrupted when seven strangers separately appear. Everything slams to a halt as they tell him that his physical body is in a coma and his consciousness is currently in a purgatory-like realm. As his body lies in a coma, his mind has been living a lavish lifestyle at a price: his sinful memories and his autonomy.

After finding out his life support is coming to an end in eight hours, he must now run a race to get his life back. He must rely on this group who seem to tender on truth and violence to get him to the finish line on time. He just needs to remember who he is and come to terms with what he has done if he’s ever going to decide if he is a soul survivor ready for a second chance at life or a lost soul bound by no redemption.

The clock is ticking, and if he is going to survive, he'll have to face his demons and outthink the clock that has constrained him for so long. For each minute that passes teeters the fine line between his life and death.

Jamie Stewart | 8 comments My name is Jamie Stewart. My novel Mr Jones is available for free from the 18th to the 20th of January from Amazon as an ebook.

A link can be found below:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07...

A blurb of the novel can be found below:

Eli Donoghue is not like other children of his age. He is also the new kid in Hazel.

Hazel is a small, rural town in Northern Ireland. It might as well say, boring, on the township sign in Eli's opinion. The only thing close to entertainment he experiences is avoiding the school bullies intent on terrorizing him. That is until he meets Mr. Jones.

Jones is an enigma. He is an adult but one with a childish sense of humour and wonder. He also has a guitar and offers to teach Eli how to play.

As he begins to learn Eli discovers there’s a lot more to Jones and to Hazel than he first thought.

What follows is a story of growing up and the people that influence that delicate stage between youth and adulthood. Mr. Jones is a story of friendship, books, music and laughter.

Amanda King (amandakking) | 1 comments Hi--My collaborator and I would like to offer our book, Things They Buried, a science fantasy action adventure for review. We are gifting a limited number of Kindle ebooks, so please message me on Goodreads if you're interested in reading and reviewing.

Released on Tuesday, 2/19, Things They Buried weighs in at 130,000 words (492 pages). It follows Sylandair and Aliara, who believe reports of their former owner and abuser's death is a lie. When they set out to prove their theory, they find his misdeeds extend far beyond their expectations, including genetic experimentation and a rash of disappearing children. (The back cover blurb follows this message.) The first in a series, this novel is heavy on action, character development, and worldbuilding with horror elements. (Please note Things They Buried contains adult themes and violence.)

Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Things-They-Bu...
Goodreads: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4...

Back cover blurb:
Under the dirty streets of Ismae's greatest port city, an old nightmare waits for Sylandair and Aliara, one that is stealing Dockhaven's children, one that only they can end.

When the pair escaped their owner and abuser years ago, they left him behind in a ball of blue flame, but as more children disappear near Dockhaven's desalinization plant, they believe he may not be dead.  When they embark on an underground search for him with their less-than-reliable puka scout Schmalch, what they find is beyond any expectation.  It will lead them into a twisting world of inheritances, experimentation and memories they never wanted to exhume.

Things They Buried is the first full length novel of Ismae, a planet where bodies can be re-crafted at the genetic level while photography remains a luxury available only to the rich.  It is a world where science sometimes appears as magic and history as myth, where monsters make themselves and heroes are wholly unintentional.

Arielle Miller | 7 comments Hi all!

Looks like this thread hasn't been used in a while, but if anyone is still out there... ;)

I'm Arielle, an author and SAHM in Los Angeles. Historically, I have written/edited and published traditional text and online learning content, but this is my first PERSONAL publication... and personal it is!!

F*ck Me: A Memoir
F*ck Me A Memoir by Arielle Miller

To tell you a little more about my memoir:

It’s hard enough to pick up the pieces after a terrible divorce and ‘get back out there’ to start dating again in your forties; it’s nearly impossible in the city of Los Angeles, where youth, beauty, and celebrity reign supreme. However, if you can forget the expectations you had for your life and tune out the expectations everyone else has for you… dating can be entertaining, hilarious, and even fun!

At least, that was Arielle's experience as she navigated the bizarre and surreal modern dating world, sampling everything on threesomes, celebrities, one-night stands, BDSM, erotic photography and sex with much younger men (and women). All the while upholding her pristine image as a traditional PTA mom, and inwardly rebuilding her self-esteem and self-worth, and stalwartly hiding her secret life from her three young children.

F*ck A Memoir depicts the journey of a single mother from broken and hopeless, to fierce and passionate. Honest, raw and no-holds-barred, this tell-all memoir graphically details the foibles, humiliations, triumphs, unlikely encounters, oddball characters, great love and even greater sex experienced along the way.

I hope you check it out!!

Inside, you’ll discover the rise of the Qin, the unification of China, and the enduring impact of a dynasty that shaped Chinese imperial history. If you’re interested in Chinese history or just want a quick, informative read, this is a great opportunity.

I’d love for you to check it out and consider leaving an honest review on Goodreads and Amazon. Your feedback would be incredibly valuable as I work to expand my series on ancient Chinese dynasties.

Here’s the link to grab your free copy from Thursday to Saturday: https://www.amazon.com/Beginners-Guid...?

Thanks so much for your support, and happy reading!
